Chapter Three
[Crippy]
And then after a few hours, they started to realize
that they would need some help to defeat Flea. He was known for his
fighting skills and his Mage-like powers.
"All we need to do is learn some magic and then
we can be just as fast and powerful as he is," said Cyclinbear. "We
need to go up Mt. Hobbs and talk to a Great Paladin who knows magic very
well. I remember his name is .....I recall the name Cecil.
Yes, that is his name! If there is anyone who is going to help us,
it will be Cecil!" quoted Cyclinbear.
"Then off to Mt. Hobbs," said Crippy. "Cyclinbear,
IDM and Tazor. Come with me to Mt. Hobbs. There you, Tazor,
will become a Paladin. Me and IDM will learn Magery. And might
even be able to become Master Elven Archers! Then if we have enough
good in our hearts we will obtain the legendary Light Arrow! The
rest of you will stay here and watch our base. We will bring back
the key to the book of spells so we can open it."
The next day the great warriors were off.
On the way there, they encountered a peasant named Video Gamer X.
He said, "You will need to take me to the peak of Mt. Hobbs. If thou shalt
not take me you will die."
And Tazor replied, "Why should we take you?"
And Video Gamer X said, "There lies a great wall
of ice. There you will need my assistance to melt the ice."
So, Crippy let him go with the group. About
six hours later up the mountain they encountered a three foot block of
ice! Then Video Gamer X said, "Step aside, here is where you will
need my assistance." Then he summoned a weird spell named Meteo.
With a large sound, the ice was melted very quickly. Then Video Gamer
X said, "There that is all you need me for."
And Crippy yelled, "Wait! ...we might get lost!"
And when he said "lost," Video Gamer X disappeared into the starting blizzard.
About two hours later there was a massive blizzard coming down. Around
that point IDM said, "I can't even see my hands!" When Crippy looked
back for Tazor he saw a weird purple lens with a cyclops painted on it.
And it had "Eye of Truth" written on it. And so Crippy looked through
it and saw everything like it was in the summer! No snow or anything.
Then he looked down and realizes that the three of them were one foot away
from a cliff.
And Crippy said, "Whooooooooo, that was a close one!"
[Neo]
King Marley sat on his throne with a very impatient
look on his face. The fingers of his right hand were clenched around
his gold scepter, while the fingers of his left were incessantly tapping
on the arm of his throne. His room was made of gray stone, and was
very dark, only lit by a two torches at shoulder-height on the wall behind
him: one on each side of him. This made his face dark, and hard to
see. There were two guards that were by the door to the room; they
stood motionless facing each other on either side of the door, each with
a spear running from the ground up by their shoulders, and several inches
past their heads. The king was elderly with a small white beard,
and large, bushy eyebrows. His face was wrinkled by age, and always
bore a frightening grin. He put his left hand to his mouth in a fist,
and coughed hard. Then, his left fingers went back to their tapping.
He was waiting for something.
Just then, the door burst open, and in walked a
tall, strong general, with a long black cape and a large, confident stride.
He wore no armor, but had dark, black leather, the same color as his sword.
He stopped several feet before the thrown, and bowed low, placing one knee
against the expensive red carpet leading to the king.
"Arise," said the king, "I'm glad you have come
to see me, General Neo."
"After your order, I came as fast as I could," replied
Neo. "What is it you want of me?"
"I take it you are aware of the attack to our castle
which we have successfully sustained, correct?"
"Yes, I am. It wasn't really an attack, your
majesty. There were only three of them."
"Their number apparently was irrelevant," said the
king. "They got away with our most valuable possession."
"Not the Book of Spells!" exclaimed Neo. "I
had no idea! What must we do?"
"I know you realize that the Book of Spells is worth
more than your, or even my own, life. If it gets in the hands of
our enemy, we might as well kiss our nice little kingdom here goodbye.
That is why I have called you here."
"I'll follow your every command," said Neo.
"Good. We have learned that a small rebellious
group has formed in the forest to the North, headed by a man who calls
himself 2 dope. We know it was his soldiers who have stolen the Book
of Spells. What I want you to do, General Neo, is to find the soldier
who has stolen the Book, and bring it back."
"Wasn't Flea dispatched to that area?"
"He is a bounty hunter, you are my finest general.
He was ordered to bring back Cyclinbear. He has not reported back
yet, and God knows where he is now. But this is a new, and much more
dangerous order. And you're the best man I have. I trust you."
"I understand, your majesty."
"And if you bring me the head of the man who stole
the Book, along with the Book itself, your reward will be the weight of
his head in gold. Is that clear?"
"Yes, your majesty."
"Then go do it."
General Neo left the room, and the door slammed
behind him. The king's left hand had stopped the tapping, and was
now resting calmly over his lap. He then cracked a bit of a smile,
and finally broke out into laughter.
