Chapter 4

Darkness, that’s all there was for hours. Then a light cut throughout the chamber like a knife. It was the opening of a door that cast a ray of yellow through the thickness of dark. Now, one could see the thousands of alien bodies stretching across the room like a sea of unconsincness.

The man who entered was the same Alien which fired on Voyager only hours before. He was now pushing a cart and on the cart laid a human woman. She was to join his collection of bodies. There were no two alien bodies from the same species, every one of them was unique.

He came to an empty metallic table. The Alien lifted her limp body, and rested her on the cold table. There she would lay for the remainder of their trip. The trip to his homeworld where his father awaited his delivery. Now he had a human female, from a species that he wasn’t even aware of. His father will be proud.

He looked at her fondly. His white hair which cascaded down his back like a waterfall fell over his shoulders and brushed the soft skin of her radiant face. Her beauty reminded him of his first sight of this woman when he had beamed her onto his ship only moments earlier.

Her eyes lit up with a slight hint of confusion, but when that moment had subsided she turned to the alien, angered.

“I am Captain Kathryn Janeway of the Federation Starship Voyager. Why are you firing on my ship, and what am I doing here?” Her voice and body movement projected that every fiber of her being insisted on him answering her questions.

The Alien didn’t stop to even think of an answer, when he moved towards her. In a split second she tried to move, but realized that she couldn’t. The force field was stronger than her small body could handle.

He had found out immediately that she was an intelligent being, for she ceased her struggle to free herself, and concentrated on the Alien who was moving towards her. She waited until she could fight him, already knowing that it was useless to fight the force field. That’s when he realized how attractive she was.

The contours of her face blended together smoothly and expressed a gentleness that laid beneath her present anger. Her hair was auburn with a lovely golden hue, and it bobbed just below her powerful jawbone. Although she was rather small, she stood strong ready to fight at any unexpected moment. The mixture of strength kindness and beauty made her immensely attractive.

Soon he found that she was just as strong as she looked. He was quite surprised by the immense power that she held within her petite build.

When he injected her with a substance that would put her into a silent coma, she stopped fighting the hold that he had on her. The last look that she gave him came with a powerful order.

“Leave my ship alone.” Her words escaped her mouth, along with her last breath. Then, she collapsed.

Now, she lay on a metallic table in the middle of a gigantic chamber. A warehouse of alien bodies. Her arm was hooked up to an IV, and her thin lips were parched from lack of moisture. Yet in her state of helplessness, she still emitted an aura of power and grace.

I hope, he thought, that my father will let me keep this Voyager Captain as a pet. He was almost sure that when his father is through with this human female he will want nothing more with her.

Before leaving, he touched the human’s small hand. His hair turned green at the sensation. Yes, he thought, she would make a perfect pet. Then he left the room.

In the middle of the night he awoke.

“Coffee. Black.” He asked the replicator, and before his very eyes a cup of black coffee appeared in front of him. He took it and quietly sat down in a nearby chair. Sipping the dark substance, his body filled with a warmth that he had come to enjoy.

Chakotay had grown quite fond of this substance since he started sharing it with Kathryn. She was addicted to the liquid and often drank at least four cups a day.

On many occasions he would sit beside her in her ready room with a cup of warm coffee in his hands. Kathryn would be talking endlessly about this or that, her rhythmic voice soothing his sensations. Gray blue eyes sparkling up at him like sapphires in a storm. She would smile at him like a school girl. It was a contagious smile and Chakotay found himself smiling back at her.

He would continue to watch her, listening intently to her stories. There was comfort sitting beside Kathryn that Chakotay had never felt, nor would ever feel, with anyone else. Looking at him she would insist that he talk. Although he would have preferred to listen to her, he couldn’t resist trying to make her laugh.

Chakotay would start to talk and then without even beginning to try, she would brake out in laughter. He loved her laughter. She would lean back and her eyes would fill with delight. It was an open and completely honest laugh that filled the room with joy. Chakotay was certain that he would never become depressed as long as he could listen to Kathryn laugh.

He awoke from his daydream and thought a moment. Why did he miss her so much? Kathryn had been away from the ship on life threatening situations before, but never had he been filled with such an empty feeling of loneliness. A void that only Kathryn could fill. He had to stop becoming so emotional. If he was going to find her then he must concentrate fully.

Something kept telling him that she was in danger.

He shrugged the feeling off and returned to his bed. Laying down, he closed his eyes and the darkness enveloped his body.

Seven’s sleek figure had entered Astrometrics 24 minutes late. Although B’Elanna had secretly hoped that Seven would never arrive, she new that Seven had to be reprimanded for her tardiness.

“Where were you?”

Seven walked by B’Elanna, ignoring her presence and began to work. B’Elanna quickly became irritated. What makes her think that she can just pretend that I’m not here? She took a deep breath and spoke to Seven with as much patience as she could find within herself.

“Seven, where were you?”

Seven turned and looked at her, expressions as cold as the arctic. “My actions are not required for your personal knowledge.”

B’Elanna remained calm, even though her breaths were shallow and her Klingon concise kept telling her to choke Seven until she got the correct answer. She walked up to Seven closer and looked into her eyes trying to figure out what could possibly be going on in that pretty little head of hers.

“Seven, I require to know your actions, not for my personal knowledge, but because I am your senior officer and I want to know why you were 24 minutes late.” Seven began to answer but B’Elanna continued. “It’s a simple question, all you have to do is tell me why you were late, but no, Miss Borg lady has to pretend that she has a personal life. Why not? She has nothing better to do because she’s to busy trying to become human when she doesn’t want to be human. Why can’t you-”

“Lieutenant Torres, do you intend on continuing this useless rambling, or can I return to my work?” Seven looked at her, straight faced and unmoved by Be’lanna’s sudden out burst of words.

B'Elanna suddenly realized what she had just said and almost felt embarrassed even though Seven didn’t seem to notice that anything had happened.

She stepped back and looked at Seven. The ridges on B'Elanna’s forehead were flushed, and when she began to talk she slightly stuttered. “I’m, uh.. sorry. Just tell me why you were late.” She was now frustrated that Seven had caused her to loose her cool and she damned her Klingon temper once again.

“I over slept.” Seven answered.

B’Elanna was taken back. “Over slept?”

Seven’s blonde hair, which as always was pulled back in a french twist, shimmered in the dim light of Atsrometrics. She looked at Be’lanna in her straight forward manner. “The doctor requested that I meet him in the Sick bay at 0400 hours to sleep on my own. The Doctor said that it was going so well that he let me sleep in an extra 20 minutes. He said that if I had any problems to consult him.”

Seven looked at B’Elanna for approval. B’Elanna became even more embarrassed by her display earlier. “Yea...you can continue working.”

B’Elanna turned to her own console. Inside she fumed at Seven for making her look so foolishly stupid. She didn’t want to risk any more confrontations with Seven, so B’Elanna avoided talking to the former Borg, and concentrated fully on her work. The silence had become almost comfortable when Seven’s voice ruffled the calm waters.

“I have located a large solar system 11 light years from our current position.”

Shifting her attention to the big screen, B’Elanna pushed buttons and read scans. “I’m reading two G class planets, one Y class planet, and twelve M class planets.” B’Elanna’s eyes lit up with anticipation, this was good news. Not only is there a possibility that the Captain could be on one of those planets but now she had an excuse to dump the Borg. “Seven I’m going to bring this information to the Commander you continue to scan for any other planets.”

Seven nodded sharply and continued her work, while B’Elanna floated out of Astrometrics on a cloud of new discovered happiness.

Five hours later B’Elanna found herself sitting in front of a large platter of... of- “Neelix, what is this?”

“That is Grudunion casserole. It’s delisouice! Go on, eat up! You don’t want it to get cold do you?” Then Neelix moved on with yet another casserole dish towards a different table, where an unsuspecting customer sat.

B’Elanna took one whiff of the substance and cringed, it smelled like onions, strawberries, and...salt. She felt her stomach lurch at the thought of that mixture.

“Go on B’Elanna eat up.” Tom encouraged from across the table. He was grinning ear to ear. “I thought Klingons had strong stomachs?”

She played with the food on her plate while avoiding her boyfriends mockery. “I’m only half Klingon, besides I don’t think that even Kaless could eat this garbage.” She threw the fork down in disgust.

“You better not say that too loud, Neelix might hear you.”

“I doubt it, he’s too busy promoting his new concoction.”

Tom chuckled heartily. “You made the right decision, I heard that it tastes as bad as it looks.”

“Then it must be pretty bad because it looks awful. She sat back rubbing her empty tummy. “I wish the food was better, I’m starving.”

“Well even if the food isn’t too attractive, you needed to take a load off your feet, you look exhausted.” Tom suddenly became concerned.

B’Elanna was still taken off guard by is concern for her. “I am. The day started out with a confrontation between Seven and myself, then I managed to track down Chakotay, who by the way was in an unusually bad mood-”

Tom interrupted. “I think I can explain that, he apparently came here to talk to Neelix and when he arrived, Neelix shoved this in face.” Tom gestured towards the dish of food. “After being forced to eat a couple of bites before Neelix would let him ask questions about the Captains abductors, it turned out that Neelix knew nothing. Neelix only told the Commander about a warning from his people: ‘do not travel past the Borg for there are many dangers.’ Tom had taken on a mystical tone to his voice to add to the affect, then laughed merrily at the thought.

B’Elanna squinted her eyes in interest. “Neelix said that?”

“Well he didn’t exactly say ‘Borg’ it was ‘mechanical people’ or something like that-”

B’Elanna shook her head. “No, I mean, no wonder Chakotay’s in a bad mood.”

“Wait, because of the mystic warnings of Neelix’s crazy ancestors.” Tom scuffed off the idea. “Chakotay’s not that gullible.”

“No, not gullible, he just believes that every myth has some truth to it. Anyway, Chakotay’s come to respect Neelix’s ancestors after their guidance sessions with one another.”

“Maybe your right.” Deciding that it was best not to argue with her, he quickly drooped the subject and moved on. “So how’s Engineering?”

“Hell.” B’Elanna rolled her eyes, remembering the previous four hours of chaos. “After I told the Commander about the solar system we found I went to Engineering, expecting minimal chaos but finding more than I thought I could bare. Unfortunately I have to enter the battle zone again in a few minutes. Your day?”

“With the Commander running around, the bridge was a little too chaotic for my liking, but it was amusing to see Tuvok silently irritated.”

B'Elanna could just image the strait faced Vulcan trying to stay calm through all the madness. “I think that everyone feels the stress of dealing with an abducted Captain.”

Tom looked at the plate B’Elanna had pushed away in an attempt to stifle the smell. “Neelix’s food doesn’t help.”

B’Elanna chuckled deeply. “I think he takes his role as Moral officer a little too seriously.”

“A little?” Tom gestured towards the steaming plate of untouched food, and they both broke into laughter.

“Ironic.” B’Elanna managed to get out between the laughter.

“What?” Tom asked clearly puzzled.

“Well if Neelix wanted to lift the crew’s moral it worked, I haven’t laughed since yesterday morning.”

“I don’t think it’s Neelix’s food, it’s my inventive wit.” Tom declared, leaning back in his chair quite impressed with himself.

“Your wit? Ha!” B’Elanna shook her head in disbelief of his arrogant boast.

Tom attempted to speak over B’Elanna’s current laughter. “Your just jealous because Klingons have no humor.”

B’Elanna stood from her seat still laughing. “Thanks Tom I needed a laugh.” She leaned down and kissed the cheek of a much bemused Tom.

“I am funny.” He called after her.

“Sure you are.” She called back without turning to face him.

Sitting on the bridge Chakotay rubbed his temples in a futile attempt to ease the pounding protruding from within. It’s been a heck of a day, he thought, things haven’t been this busy on the bridge for weeks. He looked around at the crew, things had calmed down a bit since this morning. Now there was a pleasant rhythm of beeps and soft footsteps on the bridge. Everyone looked a lot calmer. His vision halted at the sight of a cold and empty Captain’s chair. Chakotay had turned to look at the empty seat several different times during the day, hoping against hope that he would find Kathryn sitting there. How he longed to see her again... No Chakotay! He reprimanded himself, don’t do this to yourself!

After scolding himself Chakotay decided to escape the pressure. “Tuvok.” He called to the Vulcan officer.

“Yes Commander?”

“You have the bridge.” The Vulcan nodded in response and headed towards the command chair, while Chakotay walked into the turbo-lift. Just as the doors began to close the ship rocked unexpectantly. The Commander pried the closing doors open with his strong hands, and ran onto the bridge. “Red Alert.” He called out to the computer. The bridges bright elimination dimmed and began to flash red strobes of light across the confused crew.

“Four unidentified alien vessels heading towards us at warp 6.” Harry reported.

“Raise shields and hail them.” Chakotay ordered just as Tuvok took his post at the Security station.

“Shields raised.” Tuvok responded.

“The lead ship is answering our hails Commander.” Harry called out. At that moment Tom entered the Bridge from the turbo-lift and jogged over to his comm.

“Open a channel.” Chakotay told Ensign Kim once Tom was seated.

“Yes sir.” Harry opened the channel and an Alien face appeared on the center screen.

“I am Commander Chak-”

“I know who you are Commander, but the question is do you know who I am?” The scaly green serpent like creature smiled eerily at the Commander.

Visibly irritated at the Alien’s remark Chakotay deiced to ignore his question. “Why did you fire at my ship?”

The alien looked disappointed and shook his head slowly while making a clicking sound with his narrow tug. “You didn’t answer my question Commander.”

Not even two minutes into the conversation and already Chakotay wanted to strangle his lizard looking friend. “How in the Hell am I supposed to know.” The crew was shocked by his choice of words, and Chakotay could feel the disapproving stare of Tuvok burning a hole through the back of his head.

“Temper, Temper.” The alien warned. “Anger won’t get you what you want.”

“And how do you know what I want?” Chakotay demanded.

“Oh it’s the same old story, one of your crew members have been abducted so you’ve come to this sector to find them. Right?”

Chakotay was suddenly interested in what the alien had to say. “Right. What do you know?”

“Oh, I might be able to remember a few things, for a...price.” The aliens golden eyes widened at the last word and his small voice deepened.

“What kind of price?” Chakotay could now feel the Vulcan’s eyes, like lasers, on the back of his head increase in intensity. He ignored the silent warning that Tuvok was sending him.

“It depends.” The alien leaned forward. “Technology?’

“Impossible.” Tuvok informed the alien. Chakotay had to agree with the Vulcan. “Impossible.” Chakotay echoed.

“Hmm, that is most unfortunate, I just intercepted an alien ship with a male Captain who made the mistake of bragging openly about his knew discovery of an unknown female species.”

Chakotay’s heart skipped a beat. If this alien slime ball, Chakotay thought, knows anything about Kathryn it might improve our search. At the same time, Chakotay considered, he knew that Tuvok’s report of his actions would be scathing if he agreed to bargain with the alien. Chakotay took a deep breath and plunged into the icy cold waters. “Go on.”

The alien smiled at the Commanders interest. “She identified herself as Captain Kathryn Janeway of the Federation Starship Voyager. He described her as small, with auburn hair, blue eyes, and creamy colored skin, quite beautiful apparently.”

Chakotay tried not to grimace at the aliens last remark but he feared that his expression did show a bit. “My security officers will beam you, and only you, abroad my ship. You will tell us what you know and then we will discuss a payment.”

The alien nodded once in agreement when his image disappeared from the veiwscreen.

Chakotay turned to Tuvok. “Escort him to the conference room.”

“May I remind you Commander that you would be breaking protocol if you bargain with this alien for any other reason besides survival.”

Chakotay stood his ground refusing to yield to the Security officer’s warning. “I know all about protocol, and my order still stands.”

Tuvok simply nodded and headed towards the turbo-lift. Somewhere deep inside, Chakotay felt exhilarated by this new turn of events. Maybe this alien does know how to return Kathryn. Chakotay entered the Captains ready room with his face masked in command, but the mask lifted to reveal a smile once the doors closed behind him. Maybe this nightmare will end just as quickly as it had begun.

Tuvok and his security team walked closely behind the alien serpent, down Voyagers long corridors. The alien was dressed in a long blue robe which flowed to the ground like liquid. All of his jade skin was covered by this silky material save for his tiny head which was adorned with silver jewelry. His full height only came up to Tuvok’s waist, which caused a problem since the robe he wore was made for a much taller species. Tuvok wondered how this tiny man kept from tripping over the delicate material.

The conference room doors slid open to reveal a large table with Commander Chakotay sitting calmly at the head. The alien sat carefully clearly frightened by the rifles pointed towards his back. Tuvok sat next to the nervous alien awaiting the first word to be spoken.

Chakotay’s intensely soft voice broke the silent air. “May I have your name?”

“Yingmen.”

“OK Yingman,” Chakotay’s voice took on an extremely sweet exaggeration. “Tell us what you know.”

“Know what?” The alien pretended to look puzzled.

Chakotay gave him a short tempered look that was quickly understood by the small reptilian.

“Oh yes, of course, your missing Captain. Well, if you don’t mind discussing the payment first maybe we cou-”

“No we couldn’t.” Chakotay cut in with a threatening exaggeration. “You are going to tell us everything you know about our Captain before we even think about what you are going to be paid for your knowledge, is that understood.”

Clearly perturbed, the alien only nodded.

Tuvok could see that the Commander had not lost his Marquis touch. “Continue Mr. Yingman.” Tuvok encouraged.

“Umm...yes..where was I, oh of course. Not far from here is a solar system, my people call it the Wondi system but I don’t think it’s what the aliens that live there call it, they are very strange and eccentric people who don’t communicate with others much. There has been a rumor for centuries that they are a dangerous race so everyone tries to avoid them.”

“If you attempt to keep your distance from them then why is it that you communicated with their ship?” Tuvok inquired.

“My people make it our business to speak with every species that enters this section, for possible trading. We hailed them unbeknownst to us that it was their ship. They have never been known to brag but this young man seemed a little to excited about his knew discovery.”

The alien sat silently, quite content with his knowledge. Chakotay wasn’t as confident as the small alien. “What else do you know?”

“I’m afraid that’s all, but I do know the location of the planet that the majority of their population live on, if your interested.”

Tuvok was still suspicious, of the aliens true intentions. “How is it Mr. Yingman that you know so much about this mysterious species?”

“You should never ask how one knows more than you do. Or how their information is obtained.”

Chakotay interrupted Tuvok’s interrogation. “Are they powerful?”

“I have no idea, no one has ever attempted to approach their sector.”

“I guess we’ll be the first.”

The alien looked puzzled. “We?”

Chakotay stood and walked over to where the alien sat. “Yes Yingman you are going to take myself and two of my officers to this planet that you claim to know the location of. When you have dropped us off and your still interested in your payment, you can return to Voyager and Commander Tuvok will reward you for your help.”

Looking slightly hesitant, but willing to give it a try, the alien nodded his head and stood.

Chakotay extended his hand to the alien for a handshake, as the alien took it the Commander spoke. “Thank you for your information, myself and my crewmen will transport onto your ship in three hours. Tuvok escort him back to the transporter room.”

“Yes, Commander.” Tuvok allowed the alien to step in front of him before they began to walk back to the transperter room.

The meeting had been short and to the point and the Vulcan was quite pleased with that, but not as impressed with the Commander’s decision to fly to the planet himself with an alien, that they knew little about and that Tuvok felt shouldn’t be trusted. All of this and more would go into Tuvok’s report to the Captain. The Commander had broken protocol more than once since the Captain was abducted yesterday, based on emotion. Although Tuvok had spent almost five years with a crew mainly consisting of humans he still didn’t understand the decisions that they made, based on emotion. Emotion is illogical. Maybe he would understand the need for emotion some day, although he doubted he ever would.

Harry plopped down on his couch with a loud sigh. He preyed his cramped boots off of his aching feet. Boy, had this day been long and trying on ones nerves, he thought. Resting his head on the back of his couch he closed his dark and weary eyes. The silence was enjoyably soothing as each muscle in his body released the tension it once held within. Slowly he began to slip into the wonderful kingdom of sleeplessness when,-

“ ‘Chirp’ Chakotay to Kim I’d like to see you in the ready room.”

Oh great, Harry thought “Commander, my shift just ended can it wait?”

“No Ensign, I need to see you right now, Chakotay out.”

Damn it. Harry silently swore to himself. He lifted his head up and the blood rushed into his brain making him a bit queasy. Holding his head between his hands, he knew already that his day was going to end just as horribly as it had begun.

Pulling his boots back on he began to walk. His feet yelled out in protest. “Come on feet we’ve got some more walking to do before this days over.”

“Talking to yourself again.” A voice behind him spoke.

“No, to my feet..wait.” He spun around and found Tom smiling broadly. “Tom, how did you get in?”

“Through the door.”

“I know that, I mean, I thought I locked my door.”

“Apparently not, I got in without using your security code.” Tom sat down on Harry’s couch and placed his boots on his glass coffee table.

“I must have been so tired that I forgot to lock it.” Harry moved towards his friend and shoed his feet off of the coffee table. After giving Tom a reprimanding look he remembered what Tom had said a few moments earlier. “Wait a minute what do you mean before you had to enter my security code?”

“You must be tired, it took you five minutes to catch that one.” Tom saw that his friend wasn’t impressed at all. “Don’t worry I’m just pulling your cord, I don’t know what your security code is, all right? Stop looking at me like that.”

Harry shook his head, sometimes Tom’s humor could get a little tiresome. “What do you want Tom?”

“I was going to walk with you to the ready room.”

“Why?”

“Because I’m going there too, the Commander wanted to see me as well, I think it’s because of the aliens we ran into today.”

“What does that have to do with us?”

“Beats me.” Tom stood and headed to the door with Harry close behind. “But did you see the Commander’s expressions on the bridge today when the alien mention the Captain?”

Harry knew what Tom was getting to. “Yes I did see him and he was worried about the Captain, but remember what Tuvok said to us, the next tim-”

“the next time he caught us talking about our Commanding officers behind their backs we will be reported to the Captain, blah, blah, blah. You’ve reminded me a million times since Tuvok told us that two years ago. Don’t worry Harry I wasn’t going to say anything about Janeway and Chakotay, I was just going to comment on how tired the Commander has been since the Captain was abducted.”

“Sure you were.” Harry hardly believed that.

“You know Harry, you shouldn’t be so sarcastic you might hurt someone’s feelings.”

They entered the turbo lift as Harry called out, “Bridge,” and under his breath added “look who’s talking.”

“Me?” Tom pretended to look shocked and then laughed. “I told you Harry the first time we met, I’m not the kind of guy you should hang around.”

“I would have tried to avoid you if you would have stopped walking into my quarters without knocking.”

Tom patted Harry on the back firmly. “I’ve taught you well Harry, your getting better at defending yourself, but unfortunately you have a long, long way to go before your as good at it as I am.”

The lift halted and the doors opened to reveal the bridge Tom walked out before Harry could respond. They continued to walk in silence until they reached the ready room doors. Tom pushed a button then they heard the Commander call “Come.”

The two men entered and stood in the dim illumination of the ready room. Chakotay sat behind the Captain’s desk, slouched and unusually pale. Harry could see the dark circles under the Commander’s eyes, and the creases in his face that were defined from the stress of the past two days. “You wanted to see us Commander.” Harry spoke.

“Yes. I am planning a rescue mission to retrieve the Captain, and I want you two to join me.”

“Great.” Tom spoke with more energy then Harry and Chakotay had combined. “I’ll go prepare the Delta Flyer.”

Chakotay stomped on his excitement. “That won’t be necessary Tom, we’re going with Yingman.”

“Oh OK,” Tom answered slightly disappointed “who?”

“Yingman, the alien we talked to a few hours ago on the bridge.” Chakotay took a deep breath and let out a large sigh. “We’ll be leaving in two hours, I suggest you pack any supplies you need for survival I’m not sure of the conditions we’ll face on the planet. Dismissed”

“Yes sir.” Tom turned around and headed for the door, but Harry stayed behind. “Come on Harry we better get packing.”

“I’ll be there in a second, go ahead.”

Tom looked a bit concerned but turned and left anyway.

“Is there something else Ensign?” Chakotay asked.

“I just wanted to say Commander, don’t worry we’ll find her.”

Chakotay smiled warmly. “Thank you Harry.”

Harry smiled back and walked out of the office, he had been worried about the Commander since the Captain’s abduction, and by the looks his concern was not exaggerated, the Commander looked worse than he thought he would. Harry couldn’t wait until the Captain was safe and back on Voyager, but he also knew that if anyone couldn’t find the Captain, Chakotay could, and that Harry believed more than anything.

The corridor was long and filed with a misty smell that filled a person’s nostril’s, and made them wheeze uncontrollably if they were not used to it. The darkness was almost tangible for the light that laid outside the corridor walls was not allowed into the buildings prison chambers. Screams and groaning protruded from every cell that the two large aliens passed by. The two wore suites that signified their power as guards. Within the guards grasp they dragged a women clad in a long black robe. The women was unconsisness and not able to experience the surroundings in which she would be unfamiliar with.

“It’s this one.” The guard yelled to the other. One of them took the women into his tight grip as the other opened the cell’s thick door. “Just throw her in.”

The guard took the limp body and threw it into the darkness. The body landed in a thud as the guards closed the airtight door, leaving the woman in complete darkness.
