Venus burst out laughing. "Oh yeah, like I haven't heard that in anime before!" Everyone smirked and giggled. "Oh, c'mon guys, it could be real." Moon said semi-joking. "It is real." Artemis said flatly. The laughter died quickly. Venus narrowed her eyes, feeling she deeply offended the cat. "I'm sorry." She mumbled stiffly, not liking to apologize. Artemis nodded satisfied, and then continued in a tone that he meant to have no more interruptions."Now first you need your weapons. Venus along with your chain you receive a sword. Mercury you have your computer and visor. Mars gets a bow and arrow set. Neptune you have your mirror. And Moon you get a bo." The weapons appeared in their hands. Venus grinned and then started to swing around while everyone ducked or stepped back. Mars fumbled with her bow and arrows, trying to get them to shoot straight. Neptune studied her mirror and Moon started to whine.
"I get a stick?!" She showed them her bo. Everyone laughed and Venus said, "Well at least it's pretty, " Then she said more seriously, " My brother uses one in karate. It's a very good weapon." Everyone now viewed the "stick" differently. "Well...still..." Moon sighed disappointed. "Hey Moon, it's alright. Look at my weapon; it's a mirror. All I can do is blind the enemies." Neptune joked which brought a smile and laugh from Moon.
"Ouch!" Venus winced. "I was seeing how sharp the blade was..."She trailed off showing them her left palm. Blood seeped out from the ripped opening in the glove. "Idiot, you shouldn't have done that!" Mars said angrily, trying to mask her shock. Venus looked at her hurt, while trying to stop the blood flow. Mercury started to go into the house to fix her cut when Neptunes' mirror glowed.
"What?" Neptune questioned. A soft aqua light glow shot out and surrounded Venus' palm. Then it disappeared leaving her glove whole and the cut gone. "It heals." Mercury said looking up from her computer. "It also can locate the enemy and shoot immense power at them as well." Neptune smiled at her mirror. "Cool." She stated. "Hey I got it!" Mars shouted holding her bow straight with the arrow knocked. But her joy was subsided because the arrow fell again. "Ooo!" Mars grumbled angrily.
Venus smirked and then looked at Neptune. "Thank you for healing me." "Hm? Oh you're welcome Venus." She replied. "What am I suppose to do with this?" Moon asked still slightly annoyed. She held her pearl silver bo engraved on the top from side with a crescent moon in reflecting pearl. "You don't need them now, but I wanted to show them to you." Artemis said. With that the weapons were gone from their grasp in a flash of light.
"Now," Artemis continued ignoring the gasp from the senshi when their weapons left them, "You must know the truth behind your powers." They watched him transfixed, wondering what the truth was. Even Venus didn't remark; no one did. "Five powers coming together. Each seeking it's own half. Bonded through fate to survive the winds of time. Together they will triumph over perilous battles. Warriors to the end." Artemis recited. "Is that it?" Mars asked. "Yes, that's all of it." Artemis said flatly.There's more, but you're not ready for it yet; none of them are.
Oh yeah, like some poem really helped us learn about our powers. Moon said a little annoyed. "It does have some meaning." Mercury quietly voiced, studying her computer. "Like what?" Venus turned to Mercury a little skeptical.
"Well, for one, we have others to find. See," She showed them the second line on her computer screen." That means we have five other halves to search for. So I guess we should get started looking for them. Then the rest of the poem should make more sense." Mercury said as she tapped on her keyboard. "Very good Mercury." Artemis said with a tinge of pride in his voice. "So, how are we suppose to find our other half?" Neptune asked squinting up at the morning sky.
"You'll find them in due time," Artemis said, turning to walk out of the circle. "Now you have to change back into your regular forms. I'm leaving now, but I'll be watching you." With that their outfits were replaced with their regular clothes in a flash and he was gone as well. "Boy, he was sure helpful." Kaitlin said slightly angry. "I want my sword back." Bevin pouted and Kaitlin laughed. "You would kill us all." She said. "Yeah." Hang said grinning and making sword movements with her hands. "I would not." Bevin grinned in defense as they headed inside Kristys' house.
