Poison frogs are known as Dendrobatidae. Poison frogs live in the rainforests of South and Central America. In those rainforests, the temperature is about the same the whole year. Poisonous frogs are also known for the beautiful colors they have. Those colors are a warning to predators that they might be very poisonous. The poison comes out of pores in the skin. The poison frogs are also called poison dart frogs because some Indians used them to poison their darts. Frogs make the poison out of specific insects they eat in nature. The insects eat specific plants which contains a substance, what the frogs allow to get in their bodies when eating the insects. With that substance they can make the poison--what's coming out of the pores in the skin.
