4 feet: 4” x 4” x Ό” Square Tube

(2) OEM XJ Lower Control Arm Bushings

(3/4” x 16 RH) Aurora (hiem joint)

Lower Arms:

First I cut the 2” OD by Ό” square tubing into two 29.5” pieces; these will be the lower arms. Then measured off the radius of a __” piece and grinded out two sides of the 2” OD tubing in order for the __” circle to fit tight enough to be welded to the tubing.

This is where the XJ bushings will be hammered into. For the other end we used a _” ____ and welded it into place, this is where the “Krawler” Joint will thread into. (A tip for this is to thread the joint into the ____ and leaving it there while welding, as the ___ will expand when heated and retract when cooling, if the joint is left in place, it makes the threaded once cooled, a lot easier.)

Upper Arm:

We took the 3’ Dom tube and welded the tube adapter onto one side; this is where the Aurora joint will thread into. The other end is quite a bit more complicated, for this, we took ___ x ___” piece of metal. We heated it and bent it to fit the OEM upper bushing located on top of the front differential.

And this is the final product of the Upper Arm:(unpainted of course)

Sub - Frame:

For the sub – frame we took the 4 feet of 4” OD x Ό” Square tubing and cut it into _” pieces. Then we cut one side (the top) completely off and then cut the adjoining side in half (width) at __” from the “rear,” and then from that point cut the rest of the way through, thus cutting the piece completely off. This piece will be welded back on.

Here are some pictures of the completed and painted subframe. The bracket with the welded nut is for the upper arm attachment.

The following pictures are how the arms and subframe will bolt up. (Note: These are looking from the ground up into the "frame" of the jeep. With the visible arm being the lower.)

Here are some pictures of the long arms mounted up. Yes they are chrome. Bling Bling....
