While we were staying in Italy on the Europe, a couple of us went to an Italian disco. THis is Kristi by the way, Emily didn't go. Anyways, there were 3 guys and 7 girls from our group who went. I wasn't dancing (flirting) and all of the sudden the opening strains of MMMBop just come on over the loudspeaker. Everyone pulled me out of my seat and I figured "what the hell."
I was the only one out of the ten of us out on the dance floor. I just started mouthing the words and eventually singing. The beat got me and off I went. Sorry MMMBop is still awesome to dance to!!!!! Anyway, I taught my friend Chelsea this dance that my other friend and I had made up to the chorus part of MMMBop and we started to do it. Pretty soon everyone caught on and we had the entire place dancing, including all the kids from our school who initially were like "i'm not dancing to Hanson!" and we all had a blast.
I guess I'm just writing this to say that people really get into Hanson when you are completely uninhibited by the fact that you love Hanson a lot. Some people have even said they admire Em and I for not backing down just cause people made fun of us.
You just have to be who you are I guess.
