I think Lou loved Kid because he genuinely loved her. He loved her with all of his heart. It's hard not to respond to that kind of love. As Noah once stated It's different for Kid. We all love Lou and would die for her. Kid couldn't imagine living with out her Eventually she realized she couldn't live without him either.

It may seem like a strange answer, but... I think she loved him because it was true love, and that cannot be explained; you just feel it that way.

Why did Lou love Kid? Well, just look at him!!! No seriously, I'm not that shallow. Kid was probably one of the first men to treat her with respect and to show genuine concern for her. I think that after her past, she was probably relieved to find someone who cared whether she was safe or not, no matter how infuriating Kid could be at times. Plus, he *did* keep her secret in the very beginning, so she knew she could trust him. And that's probably the most important thing to have in a relationship. He was honest, honorable, and good-looking...what woman could resist. O.K, so I am a little shallow. ;-)

LOU LOVED KID FOR ALL THAT HE WAS. THEY MIGHT OF HAD THERE DIFFRENCES AND UPS AND DOWNS BUT THAT IS LOVE. TO LOVE SOMEONE YOU HAVE TO EXCEPT THEM FOR WHO THEY ARE NO MATTER WHAT.WHEN ONE IS DOWN THE OTHER HELPS THEM BACK UP,AND IF BOTH ARE DOWN THEN THEY HELP EACH OTHER GET BACK UP.SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE BAD TO GET TO THE GOOD(AND THIS COULD BE SEEN WHEN THEY BROKE UP AND THEN LATER REALIZED HOW STRONG THERE LOVE WAS FOR EACH OTHER AND THEY GOT BACK TOGEATHER).LOU KNEW THAT WHEN KID KEPT BOTHERING HER ABOUT GOING ON RIDES IT WAS ONLY BECOUSE HE LOVED HER AND COULDN'T BARE LOSING HER(EVENTHOUGH IT DROVE HER CRAZY). IF I WAS LOU I WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME TO KID(WHICH I'M SURE SHE DID WORRY ABOUT HIM)AND SO WOULD A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE!! THEY STAYED TOGEATHER UNTIL DEATH DID THEY PART BECOUSE IT WAS MENT TO BE, THEY WERE TWO OF A KIND WERE ONE WENT THE OTHER WAS TO FOLLOW AND FOLLOW PROUD BECOUSE THET WERE IN LOVE.

I think Lou loved Kid because he was kind, caring, and adorable. Louise had grown up knowing some cruel men, but Kid was different. He was gentle and would do anything to protect her. Plus he kept her secret, and was there for her when she needed him. There was true chemistry between them. He was fun to joke around with, and he treated her respectfully. Kid was a true gentlemen. What girl wouldn't fall for him?

Who wouldn't fall in love with a man like Kid? He was not only breathtakingly handsome but intelligent too! The scene in Land of the Brave where he's ready to shoot Buck if he get's bit by a snake tells you what kind of a man he was, ready to sacrifice himself for the good of another. That scene made me fall in love with the character. He really has all the personality traits I personally look for in a man. Honesty, integrity and initiative. Lou just had to love him. Why wouldn't she? Personally I don't think Jimmy and Lou ever shared that same feeling Kid and Lou did, they were more like a sister and a brother, with some tentative approaches for more. But as we all could see that didn't happen did it. I just can't see roamtic love between the two of them, and believe me I have tried! Kid and Lou on the other hand, it's there from the moment Kid find's out she's a girl
