- Kirby House Restaurant: Restored Victorian home of Thomas Kirby , built in 1885. It remained a home until 1914 when it was sold to the Abilene Commercial Club ( the forerunner to the Abilene Chamber of Commerce ). In the mid 1980's Terry & Jerry Tietjens purchased the home and opened it as a restaurant. 785-263-7336
