  Graduated in the middle of his class. He decided to go into the Military Police branch. He was assigned to various ships and posts. His former commanders have given him only the highest prasie in his abilities. He is known to possibly be the best investigator in the SFMC. Most of his family is decesed. Was rasied as a ward of the state. He did outstanding in his schooling, and was involved with many athletics. He did have a accident during the Starfleet wrestling championship and still has slight pain from it. During the battle of Olixan 5 Benden was seriously sounded and lost an eye. He was then later stranded on the planet and thought dead for 2 years, along with his wife Lt. Tara Benden. Both were eventuly rescued and are now serving with the 5th Marine Strike Group.
