101 More Interesting Facts!!!
101 More Things You Thought You Wanted To Know About Me, But You Really Didn’t!
- Kelly and I shared a locker Junior year because she never felt the need to get the security guard at school to fix hers. Sometimes we accidentally switch books, but it’s not a big deal because we have almost the exact same schedule. (I’ve been known to “lose” some of our books though – I mean, how was I to know the chemistry book was actually in my backpack those entire two weeks..?)
- I often lose my toothbrush...(those things ARE tricky I tell ya..tricky.)
- You know those people that call your house and want to conduct a survey? Well, I was bored one day, and so I decided I’d answer the questions. You had to be 18 or older, so I’m like, “Yeah, I’m eighteen.” The guy was like, “You are?!?” I was like, “Yes.” It was great. He asked me all these questions about what radio stations I listen to, and what TV stations I watch, and how often I watch them. Fun. (That occured when I was NOT eighteen)
- I don’t think there is anything wrong with Hanson. In fact, I like them. I think they write very well. (TAYLOR IS MARRIED WITH A FREAKING KID! OH MY GOOD GOD!)
- Banana Popsicles aren’t that bad. They’re not that bad at all.
- I miss my brother a lot. (Both of them actually..)
- I had a crush on Michelangelo on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when I was really little. (Haha, Mikala wanted to marry PeeWee Herman! Freak!)
- I hate ham. I hate fish more though. Beef is our friend though. As I told Justin (See below) “cows want to be eaten..”
- In chemistry me and my friends segregated ourselves off from the rest of the class. Jen, Kel, Justin, and I all sat in these four seats near the far wall while everyone else was in the middle of the class. Eh, I’ll take a picture – they last longer ya know..
- I’ve seen one episode of the X-Files. To tell you the truth, I thought it was stupid. (Or maybe it scared me, I forgot.)
- When I was in like..6th grade I guess it was, our pond froze over because we didn’t put the heater thing in it. All the fish died, so Tracie and I somehow got all the fish in the street (they were frozen), and we stood there and waited for cars to drive by and run over them. It was great fun.
- I lived in the same house my entire life until I moved to DeKalb, IL recently...
- Kelly and I managed to get lost in Toronto for about six hours. It was hell, it cost us like $40 in transportation to get home. We were on like our fifth bus and we thought we’d accidentally passed our stop, so Kelly made me go ask this old man if we had, and he’s like, “Um, no, it’s not for another two hours..” How we got that far out from where we were supposed to me, I have no idea.
- Poutine is good! It’s in Canada though.
- My alarm clock is set twenty minutes fast. Woo.
- If I get really annoyed, I grit my teeth. I also do this “glare” thing..but it’s not really a glare.
- I lose my remote control at least once a day. It’s very sad because I just sit there and watch whatever is on instead of getting up and changing it. (Um, yeah, it’s been gone for like six months now..help me find it?)
- When I was little, my Grandpa built my brothers and I a clubhouse in the backyard. It’s really neat too. But now, the top part is filled with….a few objects that are extremely inappropriate that Kelly, Scott, Brad, and I came across when I was showing it to them. (Note: it burned down on the Fourth of July because someone shot some fireworks at it..)
- I’m a Democrat.
- I got really into the 2000 Presidential Election. To be honest, it was quite a sad affair. I watched every debate, read every newspaper article, and did all the necessary homework. The night of the election came, and I sat glued to the TV. God, I learned my lesson—never watch another one. I am too high-strung. Every state Gore won I was ecstatic. Every state Bush won I was dejected. I got so emotional about it, seriously, looking back; I’m embarrassed for myself. I stayed up into the wee hours of the morning watching the battle over Florida. The next day, my heart went out to the Vice-President. After an emotional day at school, I came home, and once again was glued to the TV awaiting the latest developments. My mom told me that I no longer was allowed to watch any news coverage on it claiming I was getting, “too attached and much too involved for my own good”, and after an excruciating 48 hours, my election privileges were over. Alas.
- Kelly told me that it’d be cool if I became a Canadian, and so I decided I either wanted to become Canadian or British. I told my mom, and she FREAKED out.
- I’ve had the same nickname on the Internet the entire time I’ve had it. “Ley”. That’s a nice nickname, don’t you think? The only problem is that it appears to be “Lay”. That amuses me. It’s pronounced “Lee”. On Yahoo I had to change it to something else though, Ley was already used. Now tell me people, what kind of a freak uses Ley as a nickname? I have a valid reason, but does that person? Probably not.
- Oh, and I also had to change it to something else on AOL IM because I forgot my nickname on Ley. Er, wait, I think I just remembered it. Okay, I didn’t remember it.
- Okay, the whole “Ley” thing is actually deprived from “NicKayLeys”. Monica, Mikala, and I all thought it’d be really neat to start a band when we were really young. So, we wrote some “songs”. (They’re horribly sad. “We Are The Bad Girls” and “We Three Are Truly Cool”. For your information, we were nine or ten.) Well, apparently, our “group” was called the “Awesome Trio” at first. Then Monica and Mikala came up with “NicKayLeys”. moNICa miKA(Y)la and ashLEY. Exciting, isn’t it?
- I have blue Christmas ice-sickle lights hanging up in my room. Isn’t that exciting? It’s really cool.
- I almost got frost-bite once because I accidentally sprayed the “Dust-Off” stuff on my hand. You know, the stuff you use to clean your keyboard and stuff? It really was an accident. Okay, so that was a week ago.
- Kelly gets annoyed when I do not use contractions.

- Kel and I are now on a first name basis with the McDonald’s crew. Wow, my self-esteem is sky-rocketing!
- Kel and I get really happy if we get a 65 on our math test’s. [This was back in pre-calc..the teacher HATED us..](I have ‘poor algebra skills’ as my teacher always says. Hah, I got a B in that class…WHO IS DA BOMB DIGGITY? IT’S ME! IT’S ME!)

- I refuse to dance. Kel and I went to the second Homecoming freshmen year and Christina made us dance with these guys and I swear Kelly and I basically stood there. Oh, good times. After that we walked around and made fun of everyone that was dancing. Ooh, good times.
- Once when I was at Kelly’s house she went to make popcorn because she had “a craving for the seeds”, and so Jaclyn and I decided to hide in her closet. So, Kelly comes back downstairs and Jaclyn and I are like, “Kelly!!” and she doesn’t come. So we shout it again. Still nothing. So, we got all freaked out because the closet was very dark and we ran out of there and Kelly was sitting watching TV and she didn’t even care!
- Once when I was in Nebraska, Monica, Mikala, and I checked out this Disney song book – from the library - and then Mikala and I made up this dance to “Part of Your World”. Then we performed it for everyone. Oh, don’t worry, we taped it. If you’re wondering where Monica was..cute story. She told us that we were stupid and then refused to be part of it.
- My niece, Jamie, somehow got it in her head that I know Nick Carter (*cough* don’t know how that happened), and so every time she talks to anyone on the phone she asks if it is Nick. It’s very cute because she thought Louis was Nick whenever he was on the phone and she’d be like, “hi Nick!” Okay, so it’s not really funny.
- When we were moving my Grandma and Grandpa’s stuff out of their house (Grandpa died and Grandma had to move into a nursing home), Monica, Mikala, and I were at their house alone, and we thought we were the coolest people ever because we had this thing of lemonade and we told ghost stories, and then we got freaked out and were running around the house. Good times.
