Vesta was a Goddess of the Home, Hearth, and of Fire. Vesta, a mysterious veiled figure, was considered a bountiful Spirit with a heart of flame, being not of flesh and blood. She served to sanctify the home with her warm, generous energy. Consult her when building a house, remodeling, or apartment hunting. She offers protection in the home and the family unit. Vesta is a central figure in the Roman pantheon of Gods and Goddesses. Families would honor Vesta each day with a hearth offering, which is considered deeply sacred to her. The offering was to bring continueing prosperity to the household, helping to create the perpetually renewing bonds of home, which creates a family and home. |
