MY PERSONAL VIEWS ON SPELL-WEAVING

One of the first obstacles that I ran into with my studies of wicca was how to cast a spell. All of the books that I read gave me the magickal properties for the spell components. Like which herbs are beneficial, what stones to carry, or what colors to use. They told me what time of day, week, or moon phase to cast them. But as far as useable spells, they didn't give me any
(that kind of sounded like my last girlfriend).

OK. Maybe in fairness to the authors they were feeding me "baby food" and I was wanting "big chunks of meat".

For me it was very frustrating. I wanted to cast spells and I wanted to do it NOW!!! This was a very spiritually immature person,

If that is why you are looking at Wicca,for the spells, then you are missing out on the big picture. After 10 years of study I have come to the realization that spellcasting is the "gravy" rather than the "big chunks of meat".

This is the reason for me to develop these pages, for those "True Seekers" (you know who you are) who desire to develop in themselves the skills, attributes, and knowledge needed to be successful in this GOD(DESS) based religion.

The path you are seeking has been called "The Great Adventure". There will be many voices which will say to you, turn left or turn right or even turn back. A maze of pathways is awaiting you. Some paths will take you closer to your goal. Others will take you there in a more round about route.(sort of like this article) A few will take you the opposite way from your objectives.

How do you know which path is the correct one? That is a big question for which there are many answers. For me the best answer was how did it fit in with my beliefs and values. My #1 rule of thumb is to discount anyone who says that their way is the only way. Now after saying that I'm going to break my #1 rule.

To be 100% effective in spellweaving there is only one way for it to work and that is you have to believe it will work. Faith is the most important ingredient necessary to work magick. I believe that without the faith that your magick will work you might as well be making soup with your magickal ingredients.

To me that is the only absolute rule in creating magick. You might think about the Three-Fold Law or the Wiccan Rede and say they are absolutes. I don"t believe so for one reason only. That is, if I put a Spell of Protection on my loved ones, my property, or myself and someone goes against the parameters of that spell, then God/dess help them receive their ultimate fate of karmic balance.So mote it be.
