Ki is the daughter of Nammu. She is the earth goddess. Through her union with her brother An, the sky god, she produced the great gods of Sumeria. One story says that she and her son Enlil, the god of farming, the arts, and civilization, created humanity. Ki was the mother figure of mortal men and the gods.
