When Homer's Odysseus and his men landed on Aeaea, Circe served the men a potion that changed them into swine. Odysseus was able to resist her magick and free his men from her spell and bed the goddess who bore him a son. Circe was known as the dread goddess. She is also a goddess of the moon and the night. |
