Ashnan is the goddess of grains. She was created with her twin sister Lahar, the goddess of cattle, to provide food and clothing to the Anunnaki, the heavenly children of Anu and Ki. Legend says they got drunk and started fighting each other instead of tending their business. Because she was lack in her duties, humans were created to serve them.
