So, after overcoming a tragic computer virus that completely erased my hard drive, I am back online and finally coming back to this project. I've just read the introduction I created a few months back for this website and I have to say that I've definately managed to set a lofty goal! Initial reaction to my own intro: Who the hell do I think I am? Challenge myself and others to change the world! Omigod, what was I thinking?
Well, here's to hoping that I can live up to my own great expectations! :P Hey, they do say that if you are going to dream, you should dream big. Right? They do say that don't they? Somewhere...
Ok, so I've just spent the last 2 hours working on this website, it's amazing how fast time flies while doing this. I've created a lot of empty shells... pages with outlines on them that I intend to build on. So if any of you out there are visiting these pages at this point in time, bear with me. The empty pages will be filled in the upcoming weeks, and I will make user friendly links back and forth on each page instead of having to rely on the back button. But these things take time, and today I am officially out of time!

So I'm back at it. Instead of working on essays and homework like I should be, here I am, trying to figure out where to go next on this webpage. I was thinking about it last night, and I think that I'd also write a little about the WTO (World Trade Organisation). Some of the pros and the cons behind the globalization movement.

Been busy with school work so I haven't been working on these pages, but I've been thinking about them. One of the things that I keep rolling over in my head is that I want it to be clear that these pages aren't meant to be for (how do I best say it?) a small minorty of very active politically minded individuals. (is that tactful enough?) I want them to be for the average joe. I'm well aware that most people roll their eyes when the subject of environmentalism comes up. And I know that most of us don't really want to go out of our way, or pay more to shop more ethically. If the choice is there though, I do think that most of us are conscientious enough to choose the "better" option. But only if it's convenient. In our world, convenience is every thing.
So, that being said, the initial aim of this site is intended (these are my intentions, not necessarily the realities) to show the ethical choices that you can make in your local supermarkets and shopping malls. And then, over time, how you can go from there. Ignorance is bliss, but knowledge opens doors, and knowing what you are supporting when you buy may come as a surprise.

So I've been too busy with school for the last few months to really look at this website, but my intention is still there. Recently moved into a new area of town and am trying to get to know what the local ressources are. Much more in this neck of the wood than in my prior "quartier." Definately can tell that my first local links are going to be concentrated in this area before moving outwards... (if of course I ever get that far!)
