The Cost of Laziness

Prov 13:4
The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.

In what realm of life are you impoverished?

Poverty robs you of your time, because you are consumed with it

NOTHING COMES BEFORE ME THAT HASN’T ALREADY GONE PAST THE THRONE OF GOD

7 keys to OVERCOME laziness:

1.        Discipline

2.        Accountability

3.        Patience

4.        Faithfulness

5.        Passion

6.        Tribulation

7.        Love

7 types of laziness; also called SIN

1.        Mental Laziness – exercising your mind

2.        Busy Laziness – overcoming laziness has nothing to do with staying busy

3.        Careless Laziness – overcome by “I could care less”

4.        Physical Laziness –
2Thess. 3:10-12
10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. 11 For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. 12 Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread.

5.        Speculative Laziness –
2Cor 10:4-5
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

6.        Spiritual Laziness -
1Cor. 2:14
14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

7.        Comfortable Laziness – be content but never satisfied with where you are
