always educate yourself beforehand. and don't buy this crap, go out and pick it yourself. amanita muscaria var. formosa is easy to identify. There is nothing else that looks even remotely like it, other than amanita muscaria var. pantherina, which is not poisonous either, but slightly more potent. Do your reading... While reading trip reports online, i noticed (as you will if you read them) that 70-80% of bad trips were attributed to bought amanitas. hmmm....poor handling/drying? im not sure.
