I don't know if my info about the Hearn/Herring and Skeans families would apply to the southside St. Johns group. I know they married in Burin in 1843. They were born in Newfoundland in 1819 and 1820. Do you have any listings for Edward Hearn/Herring and Bridget Skeans (father John and mother Susan or Bridget) in St. Johns. If so... let me know.

I know that my G Grandfather had and raised his family in or
around the St. Johns area! The one thing that I do have is from a news
paper obit that said res. Bell Shute ?? Can you tell me where this place
is ? I think that it is in the St. Johns area of Nfld.. Could this be in
the "South Side" ? I've posted this before and got no response at all !
