Something
About His Hands
By Dominic Turner
There was something about His Hands,
Which caused realist arguments to
fall on deaf ears.
Maybe it was the people He healed.
There was something about His Feet, bruised and blistered,
Which caused the rationality of God
and Man together to crumble.
Maybe it was the life path He walked, and the way He walked it.
There was something about His teachings,
Which caused to crumble notions that
would reduce them to mere morals. Maybe it was the hearts of men
being touched for two thousand years.
There was something about His Blood,
Which caused statements of unbelief
to be blasphemy.
Maybe it was the faith it sealed and birthed.
What once was, Is.
What Is, will always be.
Whether grasping yet un-carved wood, taking nails, saving sinners,
or
creating all
There was something about His Hands.
