Job: Vice President for Student Services
Dean of the School of
LifeLong Education
Hometown: Miami, Okla. (72 miles NE of Tulsa)
Years as a student at ORU:
1983-1986. While attending ORU, I worked as a financial aid counselor
and my wife Tracy worked as a campus hostess in the Prayer Tower.
I was an RA on Michael 3 and in 1985 when Tracy and I married, we
started living in graduate housing.
Item you buy most at Wal-Mart:
Laundry detergent; we have four kids.
Country recently visited:
I went to Singapore in December. It is a clean, metropolitan city
with friendly people. I visited City Harvest Church which has over
14,000 members.
Favorite Sports:
Basketball, baseball and football. My kids play all three. (They
range in ages from 7-15.)
Hobbies:
I love to work outdoors and raise livestock: cattle, chickens, laying
hens and hogs for the 4H show. [The Ogle family lives in the country].
What do you usually eat for lunch?
Salad, either at Sodexho or Salad Alley.
You wear suits everyday; what is your favorite color of suit?
Navy blue or gray.
What does being the a V.P. and Dean at ORU mean to you?
ORU for me is really the coming together of the desire of my heart
and God's call on my life. It is not just any college; the students
are raised up to hear God's call and do the work of the Lord.
What does Homecoming mean to you?
The alumni are going out and fulfilling the calling of this university.
[Homecoming] is a very special time of year. It's always a treat
to get to see the alumni back on campus and they get to reunite
and connect with the University.
