Destiny gave Brian and Coral a last glance before shutting the door and joining the rest of the gang outside. Brian looked around helpless trying to find a way to get out of this embarrassing situation he was unwillingly stuck in. He got up and walked over to the door. Coral, unaware of his actions found herself being dragged off the bed.
“Excuse me? What the hell are you doing, Brian?”
“I’m getting up.”
“Inform me next time, please.” Coral pleaded as she returned to sit on the bed, pulling Brian back.
“That goes for you too.” He said as he was shoved back on the bed.
“Sorry...” She said without emotion.
“Say it like you mean it.”
Coral smirked and turned the other direction.
“I’m waiting.” Brian said.
“Oh, you were serious?” She asked shocked.
“Of course not, I’m only here for your amusement.” He said sarcastically.
“Well then, you really gotta work on your act, boy.”
“Oh shut up. Listen, I’m not liking this anymore than you are so we gotta work together here. Mainly because if you don’t behave, i might have to explain why there’s a dead woman handcuffed to me.”
“Oh eeevil!” Coral said with an evil grin.
“And that would suck because then I’d have to go to jail.”
“Did you just say ‘suck’?” Coral said with amusement.
“Yeah, why?”
“I didn’t think you could say suck.”
“Last time I checked I had a tongue and vocal chords.”
“Yeah, I’m pretty aware of your big mouth.”
“Then?”
“YOU said SUCK.” Coral stated loudly.
Brian just looked at her confused.
“Never mind...” She said giving up.
Brian tired to escape a second time by walking toward the door. He was half way there when he heard a loud thud on the floor. He looked back and saw Coral sitting on the floor.
“I’m getting up, by the way.”
“Yeah, um, you’re supposed to tell me before you perform the action.”
“You have to make these things clear to me, doll.”
“Don’t call me ‘doll’.” Coral said pulling Brian down to the floor with her.
“You’re a smart one.” Brian said as he sat frustrated on the floor.
“A college education will do that to you. I never meant for it to happen, though.”
Brian laughed.
“We are so pathetic. How did we get ourselves into this situation?”
“By picking the wrong friends?” She asked
“Yeah, you’re right.”
“It’s about time you realized that.” Coral said as her stomach growled.
“Hungry?”
“I was hoping you didn’t hear that.”
“It’s okay. I think there’s some food over there in the dining room.”
“Up?” Coral asked as she pointed up with her free hand.
“Okay.” Brian replied and they worked together to return to a standing state.
As soon as they approached the dining room table, a disgusted look appeared on Coral’s face.
“Strawberries and whip cream? Who’s staying in this room? AJ?”
“Please don’t make me think of why he would want this...”
“SEX, Brian, SEX.” Coral said in a taunting voice.
“I forgot you’re slow, Coral. Next time I’ll just speak really slowly and maybe you’ll comprehend what I’m saying.”
“You’re so kind, Littrell. Thank you.” Coral said sarcastically.
“Anyway, I’m hungry. So lets hope AJ doesn’t get too mad.” She continued as she grabbed the food and returned to the bed.
“Don’t you want to sit down?” Brian said following her.
“What do you think I’m going to do? Feed the bed?”
“On the chairs, I mean.” He said quietly.
“The bed is more comfortable, don’t ya think?”
“I guess.” he said as he stole a few strawberries from the bowl.
“Want some?” Coral asked offering him the whip cream.
“Yeah.”
Coral grabbed the spoon with her right hand, which was handcuffed to Brian. she started approaching the strawberries he had piled up on a plate when he suddenly moved his left arm. The whip cream which occupied the spoon who soon all over her face. Coral started reddening with anger.
“Uh...Sorry.” Brian said sincerely.
“Let me help you clean it up.” Brian said as he removed the handkerchief from his pocket and scooted over so he would be nearer Coral. He wiped the whip cream from her face and threw the handkerchief on the floor.
“AJ can have it.” He joked.
Coral wasn’t very amused.
“Oh come on, it wasn’t that bad.”
She still didn’t reply.
“You still have some on your lips.” He said.
Coral felt her lips with her fingers, trying to remove the remaining cream.
“No, it’s more to the left.” Brian said, trying to guide her.
“I’ll get it.” He said, regretting he threw the handkerchief away.
As he approached her face, he looked into her eyes and didn’t remove his glare for at least 5 minutes. He was fascinated and he was determined to discover the mystery. He slowly licked his lips and kissed her. The kiss was painfully slow and lasted for what seemed to be forever. When they tore apart both of them didn’t say a word. Brian was expecting to get bitch slapped and winced his eyes at the thought.
“Is it off?” She asked with a smile.
“I dunno, let me look.” He said as he slowly opened his eyes.
“Yes, it is but you know what?” He asked.
“What?”
“I have a foreboding that this isn’t the last you see of Mr. Whip.”
“And you know this how?”
“I’m psychic, baby.”
“I see.”
“Yes, that and the small detail that I’m going to be the felon.” He said as he grabbed some more whip cream with his finger and dabbed it on her nose.
“HEY...”
“Don’t worry, I’ll clean it up.”
“Damn right you will.”
“And I’ll enjoy every minute.” He said as he stock his tongue out and wiggled his eyebrows.
“So do you think It’s time to call the police already?” Destiny asked concerned.
“Honey, they’re sane...kinda. They won’t kill eachother.” AJ replied, embracing her.
She leaned against him and ate the muffin.
“I bet you’re glad you didn’t send them down here.” Carrie said.
“Why’s that?” Nick asked, giving her his full attention.
“Metal forks.” She said as she lifted the fork in the air.
They all burst out laughing.
“Yeah...don’t think they have any weapons up there.” Howie said.
“Or at least I hope not.”
“So Nicky boy, when are you going to make your move?” Kevin asked, poking Nick in the ribs.
“Ouch! Damn Kev, that hurt.”
“No it didn’t, you’re just avoiding the question.”
“Oh it didn’t? Would you like to see my black and blue (AN: Pun very much intended) bruise tomorrow?” Nick said.
“No, it’s okay, I believe you.” Kevin said as he backed away from Nick.
“Hey Nick, can I talk to you?” Carrie asked as she started getting up.
“Sure.” Nick said, not showing any intention of moving.
“Alone?” She pleaded.
“Well Nicky, you better get your butt up cuz I’m sure as hell not going to.” AJ said as he ran his fingers through Destiny’s hair, soothing her.
Destiny moaned and buried her face in his chest.
“Yes, please go Nick.” Destiny whispered.
“Even if he does go, please don’t forget, we’re still here.” Howie said with a worried look.
AJ gave him a look.
“What do you think we’re going to do? Have sex right here on the table?”
“I don’t know Alex, I mean we are talking about you here...” Kevin said honestly.
“Kevin...hush...need...sleep...night.” Destiny said talking in fragments.
“Aww no play for AJ.” Nick said, still not moving.
“Nick, you’re woman’s waiting.” AJ said and kicked him under the table.
“Ouch! Okay, okay. I’m leaving.” Nick said and followed Carrie to the lobby.
“Kids, they never learn...” AJ said with a sigh.
Carrie found a quiet spot in the back of the lobby and sat on the love seat. Nick sat beside her and positioned his body so he was facing her.
“Did you mean what you said? About liking me?”
“Well, ya know, I mean...kinda.”
“So, you kinda like me? Noting serious, right?” She asked with hope.
Nick sensed that she didn’t want him to like her so he lied.
“Naw, nothing like that.” He said, looking down at the floor.
“Good.” She breathed out with relief.
“Good?” He asked, curious.
“Well, yeah. See, I have a boyfriend.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah and we’re engaged. I really want this job but if you had any strong feelings toward me, I couldn’t take it. I would feel really bad doing that to my fiancé.”
“No, it’s nothing like that. Don’t worry about it. You’re going to come on tour with us and you’re going to have a blast. It’s a great job, really.” He said excitedly, trying to hide his disappointment.
“Yeah, it sounds pretty awesome. I’m looking forward to it.” She said with a grin.
“Wanna go back?” He asked hopefully. He didn’t want to stay here alone with her anymore. It was too much for him to handle.
“Yeah, sure. I just wanted to get things out in the open.” She said.
“I understand completely.” Nick said as he got up and started to walk toward the table.
“I just wish you were honest with me, too.” Carrie said with disappointment.
The guys were still joking around at the table, trying hard not to wake Destiny up. As much time as they spent together as a group, talking business they never really had much time to just hang out. They appreciated the time they had together right now, off tour. They were looking forward to getting back to the thrill of performing live in front of thousands of fans who obviously loved their music and them. AJ’s smile turned into a frown when he saw Serenity storm into the hotel lobby.
She looked around hoping to catch a glimpse of them and she did. She smiled at her luck and walked toward them.
“I don’t believe you left me there.” Serenity said, unusually calm.
“Oh-my-god! So sorry!” Howie said in disbelief.
“We never meant to...” Kevin continued.
“Oh I’m sure you didn’t. Forget about it.” Serenity said and sat in Nick’s place.
“Where’s Nicky?” She asked, trying her hardest to ignore Destiny’s sleeping figure.
“Right there.” AJ said and pointed behind her.”
“Thank you! “ She said perkily and hopped toward Nick, her next victim.
