A Heart In The Hand

There’s nothing wrong with being in love
Letting it take over you body and soul

Alas what you must remember is
The love that encompass you body and soul
Is your feelings and not the one’s you love

There’s nothing wrong with feeling like
You’re a silly fool in crazy love
It can feel very warm and safe

Never let your guard down in the name of love
Don’t let that sweet love of yours
Take you for a fool in the name of romance

Just because you’re drowning in crazy love
Doesn’t mean the object of your desires is
Just how does said special one feels about you

Is it love caring, giving and loving so much
It’s painful or...is it jealousy?

There’s nothing worse then a down and out fool
Breaking down from the unbearable pain

Watching her heart in her hand
That used to be warm and full of love

To watch that heart drain
From the tears that poor fool cries

To watch that heart become
So impoverished, dry, and brittle
It breaks into a million pieces

To watch those broken pieces
Fall to the ground and shatter
Into a billion grains of dust
And blow away....

But with some iota of hope
Wonder-if she’ll ever be worthy
To love like that again

You mustn’t hate the ruthless chameleon
Who maimed your spirit but pity said one
for assuming you were no-good and worthless

For you have the power to love with no
Boundaries and be filled from within

That one has not the concept and never will
Let that one who hurt you with no conscience

Continue to dig that hole of deception deeper
Until that one is trapped between walls of
Irrational, inconceivable suspicion. Look!

That one in reality is pitiful to rejoice in your pain
For you would have put that one on a pedestal
And loved unselfishly to no ends for infinity

Seeing no wrong blinded to anyone else
Only seeing that one’s inner and outer beauty,
Keep your head up My sister

You’ll find another who’ll love you
And cherish your unique and generous nature

It’s that one’s incredible loss
For you are a priceless treasure
