The End of Childhood
I sit here today
And look at my friends.
After all the time together
only 8 days remain.
We start to say good-bye.
Let’s keep in touch no matter what!
It’s hard to believe the end is almost here.
We will say good-bye to our childish ways
And join the adult crowd.
Graduation is the final step.
Can you believe we are FINALLY here?
We did it.,
We made it.
We survived the endless days
The teachers always on our backs.
And the homework and the tests.
Graduation comes.
Everyone watches the class.
The time has come to say good-bye
As we walk out the doors for FINALLY the last time.
We look back at where we’ve been
Then we all turn around
To face the future that lays ahead
