I just watched lord of the rings for the 3rd time in a week. I never get bored of it, its such a good movie and book. I'm on the 3rd book and Eowyn rocks. Everytime I watch that movie, I think about all the extra stuff going on besides the ring. There's a lot of layers to that movie. I think its given me a good understanding of the book. I know all the characters really well and why they do the things they do. Some things in the movie you only get from the book..like Sam and elves.. and also, I think that Frodo and Sam is the definition of a true friendship, don't you think? .... Anyway, now that I'm done with the video cds and I'll just be burning them and I'll be back to school Thursday, I prolly won't be posting here as much as I do (meaning not 5 times a day hehe). I'll go back to posting my regular journal entries, what I did, what went on..that sort of thing. The occasional rant. No wait..the frequent rant. :-D . I just realized I turn 16 in less than a month. Wowwie.

Something I read today that sparked a thought...in a PC mag, this guy, who is a bigtime gamer, just had a niece and was wondering what types of games he would be playing when she was 5 or 10...and that leads to a whole lot of thinking. Where will computers be in 5-10 years? I mean..in the 80s, all the computers were bulky and ran on DOS and stuff, now only 20 years later we're on the verge of petabytes in a tiny laptop. I was thinking I am going to buy a laptop when I go to college...what will laptops be like then? Right now they are talking about 100, 200 gigabyte harddrives, will my laptop I take to college have 100 petabytes and 200 gigahertz and a pentium thirteen processor or something? And where will the internet be? And cell phones? Will they finally get their act together and create a huge network with one type of cell phone like in Europe? Will text messaging take over voice messages? I also wonder, what happens to the non technology people in the world? The ones who deny the internet and depend on snail mail? That makes me mad, they have something as useful and quick as email or IM, but they choose to be ignorant and CALL me on my PHONE! Hello! I'm online ALL the time, why not voice message me? Stupid fools. You have to wonder though, where movie effects, games, and all the technology will be in a few years, will if be on the verge of a hologram? Its like science fiction turning into fact..star trek or something. Its turning way too matrix on me too...what if we create a form of artificial intelligence that takes us over? Ooh scary :)

Well, that was deep thoughts by ME!

Moby wrote something really interesting in his journal today:

"i wonder what the evolutionary effect will be of having so many new variables introduced into our lives. just think about it, the roman empire wasseemingly laid low by one simple variable, lead in their drinking water. and now we have this huge social experiment wherein millions of chemical, mineral, nutritional, etc variables have entered our lives.
i wonder if we're on the verge of the diversification of the human species. maybe. who knows?
maybe in a few thousand years it'll be a misnomer to even refer to the 'human species'. maybe we will have all splintered off into weird, genetically incompatible sub-species.
maybe.
i should probably write about this when i've had more than 2 hours sleep. my tired little brain isn't up to big thoughts right now. so i'll just have some kamut flakes with soy milk and then drink a glass of mega-antioxidant juice and then bathe in water that has been flouridated and then etc etc.
see what i mean?
all of these crazy variables.
my face hurts.
moby"

I never thought about that, but its very likely, you know? I vaguely remember something about that happening to other species.

"If living is seeing I'm holding my breathe. I wonder, I wonder, what happens next-"
*crack*

Selma sings a capella "New World" as she is about to be hung. She's at peace with dying because she finally knows her son won't go blind. She's completely happy even though she's about to die for a crime she didn't commit. She cut her off in the middle of her song and her neck breaks. End of movie.

Next time you're at the rental store, rent Dancer in the Dark. No matter how sad, boring, or frustrating it is, watch it to the end and see how you feel about life afterwards.

While you're their, rent Memento too. THATS a brain killer.

You know what? My dad went to the hospital with severe abdominal pains last night and he had a perforated appendix. That's so weird how it can just come suddenly like that. So ya, if ur throwing up and ur tum tum hurts, go to the hospital :) Well, while the parents were gone there yesterday I happened to finish the video cd. See, everything happens for a reason.

I don't think I added right because I can't add time worth crap, but I have the runtime of the CD at 8 hours 20 minutes. That really seems way up there because it doesn't seem like that. Oh well whatever. Each of the events is 2 hours or less, most of them are less than an hour. But its all finished and done and I'm happy!!

If I lived in Middle-Earth, it would be in:
The Bay of Belfalas

The sea is calling you too. The heat, the ocean, and moderate population of people is sufficient for you. You may not be much of a beach person, but the coastline environment provides the best balanced combination of everything: nature & urbanization, seclusion & socializing, and especially the moderate weather conditions; however, you can bear the heat quite easily.

Do you ever have a song that reminds you of an event or something really really strongly when you hear it? I do. Emotions by Destiny's Child..I had that song on a CD during first trimester, and it was always the song that was on my cd when the lunch bell rang, so that reminds me of first trimester lunch :)

What's your song of the summer this year? I'd have to say Harbour by Moby. It reminds me of being outside in the hot weather.

If everyone died with this attitude, that would be nice, don'tcha think? People would never be sad that they didn't get to do soemthing.

I've seen it all, I have seen the trees,
I've seen the willow leaves dancing in the breeze
I've seen a friend killed by a friend,
And lives that were over before they were spent.
I've seen what I was - I know what I'll be
I've seen it all - there is no more to see!

You haven't seen elephants, kings or Peru!
I'm happy to say I had better to do
What about China? Have you seen the Great Wall?
All walls are great, if the roof doesn't fall!

And the man you will marry?
The home you will share?
To be honest, I really don't care...

You've never been to Niagara Falls?
I have seen water, its water, that's all...
The Eiffel Tower, the Empire State?
My pulse was as high on my very first date!
Your grandson's hand as he plays with your hair?
To be honest, I really don't care...

I've seen it all, I've seen the dark
I've seen the brightness in one little spark.
I've seen what I chose and I've seen what I need,
And that is enough, to want more would be greed.
I've seen what I was and I know what I'll be
I've seen it all - there is no more to see!

You've seen it all and all you have seen
You can always review on your own little screen
The light and the dark, the big and the small
Just keep in mind - you need no more at all
You've seen what you were and know what you'll be
You've seen it all - there is no more to see!

You are 0% geek
Boy, you really broke through the bottom on this one. You are SO not geek. I recommend staying away from conventions, computer stores, colleges, universities, or anywhere else people might display the slightest interest in something other than what's on TV at the present moment. Your mere presence among geeks of any degree is incredibly dangerous to the continued existence of the known universe. Here, I'll say it slow so you can understand: Anti-geek + Geek = Big Boom. Now go read a book, for god's sake.

Take the Polygeek Quiz at Thudfactor.com

That makes no sense at all! LOL! I'm on the computer all the time, I love lotr, I love x-files, I love sci fi..but I'm 0% geek? I'm a lot cooler than I though ;)

Its cold in here.

Anyway, last night was fun and hilarious. Can't really be explained in normal terms, I'll have to show you the video when I do it later.
I just realized how naked it feels to edit videos during the daytime. LOL. I'm used to being so vampireish its not even funny.

You know what else? Sometimes when I listen to new world or i've seen it all I start thinking about how I could use those songs in future videos and then that leads to thinking about graduation and senior year and that leads to freaking out because I only have 3 more comfy years with the people I know right now and that freaks me out because I don't want to go back to school and experience all that CRAP over again but I do want to have all the fun again and adn and *panic attack*

hehe :-D

Last night I decided to try and make the last video project on my own computer. What a frickin mistake. It takes FOREVER because its a piece of crap. All it was was photos in a slideshow, no big movements or anything at all. It took 2 hours to produce. It also told me it was exactly 7:28 long, but when it was done and I watched it, it was 9 minutes. Frustration. But its cool hehe. I got all my photos together in one big folder. 400+ from just last year!! :-O. Tonite is the night of our lord of the rings partAy. We're having it at heathers. I might walk to waddells to get some milk and make lembas for them all. I can't remember if my ringer friends read this or not...anyway, I'm bringing my video camera and after I get home, I'll capture the highlights and make a quick video of all the good stuff :) They'll be thrilled as my real life friends will be. I got the dvd at target, I was surprised it was 15 dollars for a 2 disc set. I'm going to go check out the quality and be amazed there are no japanese subtitles on it (hehe). I'm only gonna watch the special features right now though, no movie yet.

OK, so last night I was doing the videos as usual..and I get done with my pool video..and I'm like..hey...I think thats it...I'm done? It was like wait a second. LOL. All I have to do I ONE thingy and thats it! YAAY!

I had a weird dream that ended like an hour ago. IT was like the first day of school and Mary gave me my toothbrush that she had all summer and it was really gross looking. She was thanking me because she said because of that toothbrush, a guy that had been just staying the night every night has a relationship with her now. And then we went upstairs and cayce was there and we were walking down the hallway and lisa started following us saying "i know something about nick,c ayce!" and we ignored her and kept walking until we were down the stairs I finally yelled "NO BODY CARES!" and we ran away. And then we went to mrs. lehman's room and bre was talking about sally's going away party which is weird cuz she wasnt even there :) hehe weird...

That should be the motto of our bonfires.

I just had a thought. After this year, where will we have bonfires?? Will joanna do them? Will there be none? Should nick teach us how to mix napalm and use it in a fire so we can still handle the pyros after this year? *panic attack*

"And about those 8mm videocasette thingies, i first gotta look for them...haha i'm not sure where my mom packed them when we moved. but i'm sure they'll be embarrassing...i mean i remember us singing to britney and trying to do a cheerleader pyramid!!"

that is from Sally..I asked her if her video recorder was 8mm tapes..in 7th grade at her going away party, we had her video camera out and we were singing and dancing to all sorts of stuff. Oh my bloody gosh, if they are 8mm and she sends them to me..we'll have to get everyone at that party together somewhere to watch them. Can you imagine what a blast from the past it would be?/??? Our hair and bodies and looks and clothes would be so much different, the music we listen to, the way we act...it would be so hilarious/sad. I really hope she gets around to getting them.

LOL!!! I HAVE to post this, it was just too hilarious!! Its from a fellow ringer's blog, http://drunkgirls.blogspot.com (Sarah, yay!)...I found it frickin hilarious...

"about last night...
as i lay on my bed, thinking about you, i feel this strong urge to grab you and squeeze you, because i can't forget last night.
you came to me unexpectedly during the balmy and calm night, and what happened in my bed still leaves a tingling sensation in me.
you appeared from nowhere and shamelessly, without any reservations, you laid on my naked body...you sensed my indifference, so you started to bite my body without any guilt or humiliation, and you drove me crazy while you sucked me dry.
finally i went to sleep. today when i woke up, you were gone, i searched for you but to no avail, only the sheets bore witness to last nights events.
my body still shows your marks, making it harder to forget you.
tonight i will remain awake waiting for you....you fucking mosquito."
