The story of Grhim Reapman begins nearly fifty years ago with his birth. His parents were staunch followers of Goseana, and thus, they named their first and only son Grhim as a tribute to Goseana. His parents, known by only a few folks were known to be completely and utterly emotionless. They had no friends and found each other only by virtue that there were no others that worshipped Goseana within there vicinity. Each of them was more emotionless than the last. They forced the worship of Goseana upon Grhim...Despite what he felt or wanted. It became apparent at a young age that Grhim unlike his parents had much emotion. At a young age Grhim was a very wide-eyed happy child always inquiring and trying to gain more knowledge. On a particularly good day for Grhim he gave his father a hug. This was a mistake that Grhim would not soon forget, as Grhim put his arms around him his father smashed him across the face and threw him to the ground. His father glanced at him in the closest thing to an emotion he had ever had...utter Disgust.
As Grhim grew older he grew to hate his parents. He became cold, spiteful and extremely jaded toward the world. At a very young age he took up the wizardly arts. Training hard to become better his teacher a man who had never before taken up an apprentice was most pleased with Grhim's advancements he Practically lived with his teacher. He met a few friends that he actually cared for. Throughout Grhim's training his Instructor tried to tell him to give up his hatred for his parents telling him that it was only inhibiting his advancement.
At age nineteen Grhim returned to his house after two weeks to see his parents, His father said "you have been away for to long. I will punish you" Grhim glanced at his father and sneered "No father you will never lay a hand on me again." His mother cold and callused as always said, "It is time for one of you to join Goseana beyond the gate...but do it outside of my house." They walked outside and faced each other, His father drew his Claidhmore. Grhim never being in actual combat before began to prepare a spell. By the time his preparation was half-way complete his father Smote him to the ground. It seemed Grhim's Defeat was eminent then someone jumped from the shadows and cast a spell at his father, he became calm, unable to attack Grhim. Grhim glanced up to see Peligir one of his nearest and dearest friends. Grhim's preparation complete, he cast a lightning bolt at his Father, driving a hole through his chest.
Grhim approached his father to hear his dying words. His father said raspily, "Grhim I will always be a part of your life" and he drew a mask from his from his cloak and handed it to Grhim. Grhim snickered at his father and said, "yes but while you may be a part of my life father I will no longer have to be a part of yours." He then walked away from his dying father
When Grhim was an adequate distance away from his father he looked at the mask, it was a mask resembling the mythical figure Death he stared at it for a few minutes then placed it upon his face. It seemed to fit as if was made for his face. Peligir said to him, "Grhim you sure you want to wear that?" Grhim nodded and said, "Yes I will wear it as a memorandum to all the fools who would hope to destroy me." Peligir said to him, "Grhim I too have a family one that would happily accept you." Grhim glanced at Peligir and said" I don't think any family would have one who murdered his father Pel." Peliger responded with, "As far as I am concerned this incident never happened. So shall we go meet them?" Then the two walked off, brothers as far as they were concerned. Grhim had a new beginning.
