Jeremy's Travels

Me in the Bahamas!

Greetings, all! I'm about to embark on a 2+ year adventure in the Peace Corps that will probably help shape the course of the rest of my life. As I slowly prepare and even more slowly come to grips with this fact, I have two overwhelming emotions. First, I am incredibly excited to actually pursue something I've thought about doing for some time. Second, I am sad that I will be missing friends, family, and gatherings with those who are important to me back in the States. So, hopefully this website could be a way for me to connect with you through stories and pictures, even if we are so far apart.

I hope that many people will tune in to see what is new in Jeremy's life. But, I also hope that whenever I am feeling homesick or just plain out of the loop, I can look back as well at some times that we've had together in the past.

Me in the Wilderness

So, the theme of this page is travel. Many of my most memorable experiences have involved a trip of one kind of another, whether weekend excursions for Ultimate tournaments, week-long family vacations, or longer expeditions across international borders. It might take a while to get all of this information up, but eventually, I'd like to have all of the most memorable travel experiences I remembered chronicled in one respect or another on this site. This includes: family travel (which alone covers a great deal of memorable, special experiences); a 3 week trip to Costa Rica in 1995; a 10 day historical trip through Israel in 1997; high school band and orchestra trips in 1997 and 1998 to Disney World and Annapolis, MD; numerous Ultimate frisbee trips that could be for just a weekend or an entire week; study abroad in Australia for 5 months in 2000; a summer in Grenada in 2001; a 6 week trek through Southeast Asia in 2003 (which started June 8th); and now, the Peace Corps in Honduras from 2003-2005.

If you remember fun times we've had during one of these time periods, post your memories, pictures if you have them, and stories. We'll make this a collaborative effort. So now, I may be gone for two years, but through this website, I can still share my experiences with you.
