Wanted: One Fool
To my heartaches past and future Wanted: one fool to love without question Giving all, expecting in return, nothing Willing to hurt in silence remaining stoic, as not to taint the illusion To love without reservation as needed, for personal whims of your pleasure To speak words of truth in a lie, not as you hear Wanted: one fool none to be found, until you saw yourself Eric Kurten Copyright ©2002 Eric Kurten

A Poem For You
This is a poem written for you, A poem about a friend, I love to know Knowing you the way I do, you expected me to say the words, so true True you are, without need to words to say See how you got me, I said it anyway Miss you I do, more each day The miles between us keep me away A call to hear the voice I know The sound of a song, here's how it goes A tune called friendship, a melody to play A friend for always, each and every day This is a poem for you my friend Knowing that our friendship will never end Eric Kurten Copyright ©2002 Eric Kurten

Judgment Day
You speak in hate and fear Selecting passages for me to know, Laws dead thousands of years ago Blind you are to see, irony as it must be Learning your own sin lies,in your hate, your hate of me You would judge me as a man, condemning the love I would know My justice is love, for it is right The sin you promise I commit,I know no fear of it, Love is never sinful or shame, as you would say I wonder if you can justify your hateful sin to your God on, Judgment Day Eric Kurten Copyright ©2002 Eric Kurten

Nine-One-One
Friends and family, all lives gone No reason to say why it has come Uknown faces, unknown names, even for strangers my tears fall as rain I wish I could forever go back to the day before No lives there lost to an arrogant man's unholy war Let this warning reach our hearts Let this pain touch our souls Nevermore can we be whole Let us never forget this day Nine-One-One We are afraid Eric Kurten Copyright ©2002 Eric Kurten
