Abby and Sasha stepped out of their car and stared at the steps leading into City Hall. Sasha turned to Abby and let out a deep sigh, "Of all the places, it just had to be here. And why on Valentine’s Day? That’s just cheesy."
"Why, what’s wrong with City Hall?" They started walking up the stairs, ignoring the press and fans that lined the stairs.
"It's just... It's like the White House in this city. Everything said and done comes from within this building. I mean we might meet the mayor tonight and I don't think..." Sasha was cut off by loud screams by girls at the next arriving guests. The two girls turned around and saw five handsome guys step out of their limo, waving to their fans. Sasha grabbed Abby's arm and laughed, "Oh, oh, oh, I want the tall, dark and handsome one! Who are they anyway?"
Abby smiled and stared onward at the men. One man, who seemed to wish he wasn't there, had a fake but impressive smile pinned on his face. He waved and signed autographs for the screaming girls and placed his hands into his pockets when he figured he had signed enough. Abby studied his honey brown curls that covered the nape of his neck. His blue eyes were bright and his smile was able to match the glimmer. "I... I don't know but the girls seem to really like them."
Never taking her eyes off the one she liked, "I don't blame 'em. Except if he was that close to me, I would just jump over those barriers and pull him back into the limo."
Brian slowly started up the stairs in a slow pace, waiting for the other guys. Nick was quick to follow his lead and motioned for the other guys to start heading in. Through clenched teeth and retaining his smile, Brian spoke to Nick, "I'm leaving the party in an hour. I made an appearance and I shall leave shortly."
Nick nodded and patted his friend on the back as they reached the top of the stairs. Nick looked over to his right and noticed two girls in evening gowns, watching them with wonder on their faces. He pulled the small rose from his blazer pocket and the one from Kevin's. Kevin gave Nick a quizzical look as he walked towards the two girls, handing them the roses, "I guess I'll see you two inside." He winked and quickly joined the rest of the guys.
Abby and Sasha stared at the roses they were just given and looked at each other, "Screw the dark tall one. I want the blonde tall one."
Finally realizing who they are, Abby grabbed Sasha’s arm as they quickly walked inside, "Nicole likes them. They're a singing group... oh, what is their name? But the one that gave us these roses is Nick Carter." Sasha smelled the rose and quickly placed it behind her ear. Abby bit her lip trying to remember their name as they were escorted to their tables. Abby looked up from the expensive tableware and found that their table was only one table away from the men they were drooling over. "Backstreet Boys!" Abby exclaimed as Sasha stared dreamily at the guys. "They're the Backstreet Boys. Nicole would just talk about them non-stop to me. I can't believe that they're here."
Sasha turned her head and placed Abby's rose behind her ear, "Who?"
"Backstreet. From what I hear, most of them are single."
"Then I claim two of them."
"You can't claim two."
"Wanna bet?"
Handing Sasha a glass of red wine, "Get drunk."
"Yes ma'am."
