The Frosty Pines

Whispering Frosty Pines

One broken heart looking for a place to call home
Tired of empty promises, no more did I want to roam
A chancy move to an unknown place, far from family
But looking back, I see God's hand~this was his plan for me
'Cause the Frosty Pines are whispering nature's sweet song
Of wild deer in the evergreens~this is where I belong
So you can keep your city mansions, your money and your fame
'Cause the Frosty Pines are whispering my name
I've housed my share of royalty~from a Duchess to a King
A Bandit and some billygoats and everything in-between
Though I've never had much, God's provided in His own way and time
For I've learned God's love and grace never cost me a dime
"Cause the Frosty Pines are whispering nature's sweet song
Of wild deer in the evergreens~this is where I belong
So you can keep your city mansions, your money and your fame
'Cause the Frosty Pines are whispering my name
And though I'm blessed with friends and family here in this wooded place
My greatest joy will be Heaven to see Jesus face to face
There I can trade this cabin for a mansion on that golden shore
And again kiss my daughter and hear her sing to our Savior forevermore
