2nd Marking Period Syllubus
March 19 -Start on Claris Work's Home page Tutorial....
Goto the hardrive and find HomePage 3.0
Open the software and then goto HELP to aceess the Tutorial Menu. Go over lesson 1 & 2 today.
March 20 - Lesson 2: Creating your home page.
March 21- GOTO LESSON 3: Tables for your webpage.
March 22- NO CLASSES TODAY! STAFF DEVELOPMENT DAY
March 23- Postponed Quiz to Monday to include lesson 4.
Finish lesson 3 and learn how to create Tables for your page. Go to lesson 4 and learn how to load pictures from your folder.

April 27 - LAST day of the Marking Period. Each Quizzes is worth 20% (20 X 5 = 100%) Be reminded that daily attendance and class behavior is counted as part of your grade.

Feb 6- Sign up for personal webpages on Angelfire.com Everyone's web URL should begin with https://www.angelfire.com/journal2/firstname and first letter of your Last name
Feb 7- Simple Graphics in Appleworks. (14 buttons).
Feb 8- Uploading Biography: Copy Biography on to clipboard and log in to Angelfire webpage. Paste the biography onto the HTML box.
Feb 9- Website editing: HTML of the day <"Horizontal Rule">or hr
Feb 12- Short Quiz on Mac Lab Operations
Feb 13- Simple Graphics and Layout with Text
Feb 14- "Hearts" day 2: Print Hardcopy - Valentine's day card
Feb 15- Uploading graphics day 1: Upload by saving graphics into your folder then log in to webpage account and upload graphic file. type < img src=" _____.gif">
Feb 16- Basic website due day

Feb 26- HTML is Hypertext Markup Language

Feb 27- Uploading image using HTML...<. Img src= "picture.gif">
Home work: Bring a magazine with graphic and text... we will be copying it using Adobe Pagemaker

Feb 28- Adobe Pagemaker.....
Choose a layout, 2 or 3 column from Layout command and start typing.( make sure that each paragraph is independent) Save your work as "layout".

March 1- con't typing.and start scanning pictures.

Scanning Pictures: goto computer 3.1 and open Photoshop software. From the menu command of "File" click the mouse so a drop doen menu appears, then you will choose "IMPORT" from the drop menu, which takes you to a sub-menu choose " Twain Acquire" and a Desk Scan II meanu will appear. wait for the preview function to finish to see the scanned page. Crop the picture and save it to your TC1M/TCD1 folder.


March 2- Importing your scanned picture into your layout.

Step 1: open your scanned picture from the TC1M/TCD1 folder. Choose "select all" and copy
Step 2: open Pagemaker 6.0 to your layout.
Step 3:Choose paste and paste it into your layout.
FYI: 1st marking period ends March 16, 2001 you must have your webpage updated and your layout done in Adobe Pagemaker to get a passing grade.
March 5-Snow DAY!
March 6- Arrange your layout so that your text and background color are where they are suppose to be.
March 7- Continue and print out your page. Fix the font, if its not supported by the printer.
March 8- Lab day
March 9- Website check day: you should have your biography, 9 terms and 14 buttons. Print out your layout.

March 15- All work for 1st marking period DUE!

Half the class went home from the Bomb Scare Drill... So these people are getting "B" as their highest grade.
