Echo 2001
Do you remember the day you first arrived at Camp Echo? I do… I remember looking around at the cabins and the lake and thinking “This is going to be awesome!” And I was so right… From hanging out with our co-counselors both on camp grounds and off to meeting our campers to the highs and lows of life away from home, it was one of the most memorable and best summers ever.
The summer of 2001 was my only year as a counselor at Camp Echo. However, it was the best summer of my life so far and Camp Echo will always hold a special place in my heart because of it. Times weren’t always great, but for the most part, I wouldn’t change a thing.
I created this website wayyyy back in the winter of 2001, after coming home from Camp Echo and wanting to have a place to share my pictures from camp with everyone. I lost the log in for the page for along time and have only just recently recovered it, so this is the first update since probably 2002 or 2003.
I can hardly believe it’s been 7 years since my stay at camp. Life has changed a lot for everyone since then… A lot of my fellow counselors are now married with children, or about to be, and most of our campers from that summer are in college or out starting families of their own.
