At long last, I've done two remarkable (for me) things!
1)I've finally broken Seraphina's Shawl down into a regular crochet pattern, without the pictures and written-out instructions, at the request of my seasoned crocheters.
2) I've finally managed to get another shawl pattern made!!! Whoot!
The second shawl pattern will be available this week, bound into a booklet with the 'regular' Seraphina's Shawl instructions. Get 'em while they're hot! I should have a 'buy now' button up and running by the end of the day on Wednesday, January 11, 2006.
With any luck, I'll be posting more patterns for sale very soon, including my ever-popular Floopy! wear. These are winter hats, scarves, and mittens that you can make quickly and easily, with thick yarn and a large hook. Once you get the pattern down, most of these take less than an hour each to make. Great for craft shows, gifts for the office and family, and just about any other reason you need to give away winter wear!

Also available: Sprang booklets and kits!
For those who aren't familiar with Sprang (which means about 99.999% of the world), it's an ancient fiber technique that uses a simple frame and dowels. The basics are easy to learn, and additional techniques will be available very soon, as well. With this method, you can make just about anything you can build a frame for, and I include directions for figuring out how to make that frame out of inexpensive PVC pipe and fittings from your local hardware store.
Sprang is a lot of fun, and just the sort of new challenge that a lot of fiber junkies have been looking for. It's a great way to use up your stash, as it takes a lot less yarn than either knitting or crochet, and works up in half the time, in most cases.
Visit my sprang project pages to see just a few examples of what you can do with this wonderful ancient technique!
