Susan's Cabinet

One stroke painting, my first furniture commission!

Here's a nifty little cabinet my friend Susan asked me to paint for her. I might have gone crazy with the flowers, but it was so much fun, I couldn't seem to stop!

Susan, tell me what you think! --grin--

This is the cabinet with just the base coat on it, as I was looking through Donna Dewberry books for ideas. Susan said she wanted lots of wildflowers.



This is where I've gone ahead and painted in a background. Pouncing is FUN! :)



Here's the right side, if you're looking at the front.



Here's the left side...I think this is the one that will actually show, but I wanted her to have a choice of which side to put, and this way she can change positions in her living room.



And this is the front. The heart shapes are built into the drawers, but I thought they were a fun design element, so I just worked with it. A different flower on each drawer, and wow! LOTS of wildflowers! lol Now I just need to finish the bottom drawer, and then it's ready to varnish.



I'll post a pic of the finished cabinet, and hopefully one of it in place at her house, when it's completed.
