11/25/06 - I think each semester keeps getting tougher. I am learning a lot of really interesting stuff, but there are so many little details to remember. I am taking four classes this semester, one is easy - a biology seminar class that's required for graduation. The rest are beasts - Immunology, Comparative Anatomy and Biochemistry! To add to that, I'm in the middle of applying to med schools as well. It's a multi-step process and I won't know anything for a while, but keep your fingers crossed for me. I applied mostly to schools in the area so I won't have to uproot Kaira and everything else - LSU in New Orleans, Tulane in New Orleans, LSU in Shreveport, and University of Florida in Gainesville. Primary applications are done, Secondary applications are due in a few weeks, as well as letters of recommendations, evaulations from school, etc. I'll finally be graduating this spring too, which is pretty exciting. Only one semester to go!

5/11/05 - Finals are over!!! Summer is officially started! I don't know all of my grades for sure yet, but it's looking good (possibly even another 4.0?) - post them in a couple of days when I know for sure. Just found out that I not only passed my Organic Chem II final - I aced it! Teacher said I made the highest grade anyone has ever made on her final - wow! With my bad luck, I managed to have the flu the day of that final too - was running a 101 fever while taking it, yuck! She could tell I was sick and doubly impressed when she got to grading it. Made the top grade in her Lab too.

03/03/05 - Spring semester is in full swing already - almost midterms time!! I have been unbelievably busy with homework and projects almost since the first week of school. One of my classes is only 8 weeks long, so at least after midterms there will be one less to worry about. The real killer is Organic Chemistry II! The first day of class, the teacher told us that we would realistically need 10-15 hours a week to study for that class alone - and I knew she wasn't kidding, I had her last semester. She's a great teacher, it's just really difficult material. I've also been squeezing in about ~20hr/week at work too. They are training me to be a manager for back-up. Learning to do reports/paperwork, etc takes extra time at the end of an already long day. I don't really want the manager job, but's it's nice to fill in part time - I still have my flexible schedule, and the pay's not bad. Nothing else new for now - just lots of school, work, and a super active 2-year-old to keep up with. I'll be glad when the semester is over and I can relax a little again (Christmas break went by way too fast!).

10/17/04 - Last week was crazy, it was Midterms at school. I managed to end up with 7 tests in 7 days! Add to that a couple of quizzes and homework and it was downright hectic. But I somehow managed to finish fairly well - so far I am still holding A's in all of my classes. Wish me luck on the other half of the semestser...

I have been keeping busy, but doing good. I have had more homework this semester than I could have ever imagined, but so far I have managed to keep up with it and have passed my first round of tests with flying colors - even physics and organic chemistry! Between John's new job, Kaira starting daycare, and me having to rearrange my work schedule, everything is a little crazy right now. I will be glad when we are finally settled into a new routine.

Now that I am getting a little more comfortable with this website thing and understanding what I need to do a little better, I am starting to enjoy changing and adding things. And instant gratification too! As soon as I tell it to do something, it's done right that second.

I chopped off a bunch of hair after the semester started, and am enjoying how easy it is to fix.
Here are some pictures of the new look...
