I have been working the last couple of weeks to get Kaira moved out of her baby room and into her "big girl" room - and the new room is finally done! I am very pleased with the results, and Kaira is really enjoying it too. I did a garden theme and even included plenty of live plants (and a few fake ones too). Kaira doesn't really need much use of the closet, so I decided to take down the doors make the room a little bigger. I tucked her play kitchen into the closet and added a table and chairs right outside. I think I may have to make a little sign to hang over the closet - 'Kaira's Kitchen' or something. Almost everything in the room is new (except for the toys) so it was a lot of fun to plan it out from scratch. I painted the bed she already had to match everything else, and got her a new dresser and bookshelves. I found a bookcase with square cubbies that works wonderfully. Wednesday (1/5) was her first night it the room, and it was a little rough on her. She kept waking up confused in a strange room. After a couple nights, she is already doing much better (she snuck into our room early this morning, but didn't wake up once during the night). I have a few more finishing touches to add, but I couldn't wait to show off the pictures. Here they are:
