BUSINESS PLAN PROJECT (part II: Business Plan—Publisher & Paint)

 

Continuing from Part I:  You and your team of new business owners (of 2 or 3 people) will be developing a logo and a sales catalog.  You will be using Paint and/or MS Publisher to make the logo, MS Publisher to make the catalog and the Internet for research.  You will need to research other businesses to learn about their products and then make up products and prices for your own company. 

 

Part II: 

In MS Publisher or paint develop a company logo that shows the company’s product and personality. Keep in mind that the shape and colors should be consistent because it will be used on every company document such as letterheads, company clothing, and documentation. Save as BusPlan_ your company name_logo.

  1. Logo cannot be more than 4 inches by 4 inches. The logo must be scalable to as small as 1 ˝ inch by 1 ˝ inch.
  2. Write your company name and all the members clearly on the document.
  3. Write a paragraph (somewhere on the document) explaining why this logo was developed. What do the shapes or objects signify? What do the colors mean?

 

In MS Publisher, save your first document as BusPlan_your company name_catalog. 

 

1.         Create a 2 page catalog of at least 8 of your products or services. (If there are 3 people in your group, you will need to write 3 pages.)

2.         Do not use a page “wizard”.

3.         Make sure your write your company name is on the document.

4.         Use appropriate, correct language and grammar to explain your products. (Minimum of 200 words total.)

5.         Organize the products so that the customer can easily see the product and understand the pricing.

6.         You may download some Internet pictures.

7.         At the end of the catalog included at least 2 web sites that your referred to for pricing, pictures or information.

8.         Use your creativity.  Show care and effort in your design.
