Challenge - When in Rome (do as the roman's do)

"But James....We don't know anything about this place?!" Chris exclamed.

"You know what they say....'When in Rome do as the Romans do'"

"What the hell does that mean?"

"Relax hun...It will be ok." Joey told Chris, quickly kissing him on the lips.

"I still want to know what that means!"

"Chris will you shut up!"

"No!"

"Oh my god...Why are you flipping out?"

"Because that phrase doesn't pertain to everything."

"Look out..Chris is using big words...he's pissed." Justin whispered to J.c.

"I heard that ass-hole."

"Ok Chris...I'll bite. What doesn't it pertain to."

"Mine and Joey's relationship."

"How?"

"We can't do everything that every straight couple can do. We can't kiss and hold hands in public. We can't get married."

"Yes you can."

"But not legally. If I would die...Joey wouldn't be able to collect on anything."

"Chris..."

"Lance I will NOT calm down! I am so freaking tired of everyone telling me to calm down. Maybe I don't want to calm down!"

Chris spun around and started to walk away.

"Chris...Chris get back here!" Lance yelled.

But Chris kept walking.

"Chris....Baby...."

Chris didn't respond and Joey began to cry.

"Joey...Joe what's wrong?"

"He's leaving me..Oh god what am I gonna do.."

"Joey...Why would he leave you?" Justin asked.

"So he can have a 'Normal' relationship."

Justin cussed under his breath and ran up to Chris and spun him around.

"Justin I told you guys..."

"And I'm here to tell you that you had better get you ass over there and talk to your boyfriend!"

"What's wrong with Joey?"

"Oh nothing...He's just crying because he thinks your leaving him to have a 'normal relationship'."

Chris ran back to Joey. Joey was sitting on the ground wrapped in Lance's arms. His sobs could be heard and it broke Chris's heart.

"Joey.."

Joey didn't look up...but Lance did. And there was fire in Lance's eyes.

"Chris...I swear to god...."

"I know Lance...please just let me talk to him."

Lance unwrapped his arms and whispered something into Joey's ear.

When Lance left Chris sat on the ground next to Joey.

"Joey?"

Joey didn't respond.

"Joe...Please talk to me."

Again scilence.

"Ok...I'll just talk then. I love you Joey. I could never leave you. I left because I was getting angry and I didn't want it to get worse then it was. Now for the part about the 'Normal relationship'...I don't have to leave to find a normal relationship. This is a normal relationship for me. This is the relationship for me. I love you baby."

Tears began to fall from Chris's eyes.

"That's all I have to say now...so I'll leave you alone."

Chris started to stand up, but Joey pulled him down.

"I love you too Chris. I guess I just got scared. I thought that you were going to leave me."

"That's one thing that you never have to worry about baby. I'll never leave."

"Ok...now what do we do?"

"Well...normally couples kiss...and being that we are a couple and we did have a fight and I do see people kissing..."

Chris shrugged.

"When in Rome..." and he pulled Joey's head close for a kiss.
