Challenge - Plastic

"Joey walked through the house holding plastic bags from the store. How the hell he got out of there he still has no idea.

“Chris! Where are you? I could use some help here!” Joey walked into the kitchen and placed what he had on the counter. He saw Chris walk in through the back arcadia door.

“Sorry babe but I was cleanin’ outside, and I’m getting ready to clean the pool.” Chris walked to the counter and started pulling things out of bags and placing them where they were supposed to go.

“I got some more stuff out there, can you help me?”

“Yeah sure, time’s runnin’ short and we gotta get shit ready.” They walked out to Joey’s Navigator and starting making the second trip back to the house. “You know Joey I’m glad that you turned that Expedition in for the Navigator. I don’t like them and they’re not safe.”

“I know babe, I know. I’m glad too, I mean it actually has more room and more safety features. I feel better knowing that no one but the two of us or someone with a key can get in and do stuff because I don’t want Brianna to get hurt.” Joey followed Chris out once more to the car and got the last of the groceries. Joey watched Chris disappear behind the door so He turned and locked the car up, following his husband’s footsteps into the kitchen with the last of the bags.

“When is Bri gonna get here?”

“Umm… I think Kelly is dropping all her things and her off like, what time is it?”

“One thirty why?”

“SHIT! She’s gonna be here in a half hour and I don’t got zap done!”

“Well whydda take so long at the friggin' store then?”

“Because I got hit by rabid fans!” Joey ran over to the stove throwing pots and frying pans on top.

“Calm down Joe, she can help make stuff while I get the grill and things ready.”

Yeah I know its just that I got two hours to get all this shit ready now I was planin’ on getting’ a taste of you before hand.” Joey pouted as he pulled everything else that he needed from the pantry and the fridge.

A slow smile spread across Chris’ face as he watched Joey turn into his mom. “Baby you will tonight if that’s what you want but remember we gotta get Bri used to staying here all the time now.”

“I know I know.” Joey turned and went back to cooking while Chris went back outside to clean the pool.

Kelly didn’t get an answer at the front door so she took Brianna and walked to the back having placed everything that Brianna owned at the front door. Seeing that the door was unlocked she went ahead and walked through finding Chris just replacing all the pool supplies in the back shed.

“Hey Chris!” Kelly walked over to him holding a squirming Bri.

“Hey Kelly! How are you?” He asked sincerely holding out his hands so the baby could jump into his arms.

“I’m good. It’s gonna take some getting used to. You know? Not having Bri around.”

”You know that you can come and see her any time you want.”

”I know but I gave all custody to you and Joey I meant it. I mean don’t get me wrong I love her with everything I have it’s just that I can’t protect her and give her what she needs like you can.”

“You mean because of who we are and things like that?”

“Yeah, I mean she has her own body guard for Christ sakes.”

“I get ya sweetie. C’mon let’s go inside did you already bring her things in?” Chris asked as they walked into the house and into the kitchen where all the smells were coming from.

“No, I couldn’t get Joey to answer the door so I just left everything there at the door and came around the side.”

“JOEY!”

“What?” Joey turned his head to see his husband, daughter, and his ex girlfriend standing at the counter.

“You didn’t hear the door?”

“Shoot! I’m sorry Kel, I had the radio on just now and I guess I didn’t pay attention.”

“Dada!” Chris set Brianna down and she ran to her dad.

“It’s okay Joe, All of her stuff is sitting in front of the door.”

“That’s cool I’ll go and get up to her room while you guys do whatever.” Chris left and got to work.

“So Kelly have a seat. Now are you sure about this?” Joey asked while tending to his daughter and everything that he was working on.

“Yes, Joey I can’t protect her. I love her and I’m doing this for her. Sure if you let me when I’m in town visiting I’ll come by and stuff if you want.”

“Yes! Defiantly!”

“Okay.” Kelly smiled as she watched her daughter’s antics. “You know Joe if you and Chris ever need anything …” Joey stopped everything he was doing and placed Brianna on a clean spot on the counter.

“What do you mean Kelly?”

“What I mean Joey if you ever need a woman carry a child for the two of you then all you gotta do is call me. I did it for you once I can do it for you and Chris too.” Joey stood there with one hand on Brianna in total shock.

“Kel I can’t ask that of you. You gave me Brianna…”

“Joseph Anthony Fatone! You are not asking me! I’m doing it on my on will.”

“Well I’m honored that you’ll do this but you’ll have to talk to Chris. In the mean time save my ass by helping me get this food done before everyone gets their asses over here!”

Kelly jumped off the stool and got to work. One by one the rest of Nsync and Wade came to the house and were all sitting talking and passing the baby around. Joey and Kelly were placing the last of the food from the house since Chris had just set a plate of grilled and BBQed food in the center of the table.

“Fuck, Joe can you use any more Tupperware?”

“Screw you Justin! I’d rather have plastic then use anything that Brianna can break or get her self cut on.”

“God, talk about over protective…” Joey flipped him off and sat down.

“Okay!” Kelly clapped her hands together. “I know that I should say then in private but I’m leaving right after the party. Chris, I told Joey earlier that I would carry a child for you two if you decide that you want another one. Brianna wasn’t really a… Joey was thinking about having a kid and well it happened. But I want you to know that if you guys want another baby to call me asap. Okay?” Kelly sat back watching Chris take in her words.

“Damn. Kelly that’s a big thing.”

“I know Wade. But you know now they have nothing to worry about as far as finding someone. I know that you and J won’t be considering kids for at least what three four more years? But JC Lance if you guys need someone let me know and if I’m carrying the next Choey child then we’ll figure something out… But if I’m not and I don’t have anything in the way then hey my body is at your will.”

“Kelly why are you doing this?” Lance leaned over his plate thoroughly interested in what she had said.

“Because I will always be your guys’ friends, and I will always be there no matter what. Just because I’m gonna be pretty much out of the picture doesn’t mean that I don’t wanna help you guys in any way I can. NO it’s not a guilt thing either. When the three of you decide to come out you’re gonna need all the friends you can get. And I’ll always be one.” Kelly sagged back into her chair; she didn’t think that saying that would have been that hard. Hell she knew that there was no way they would accept it right off the bat but she did intend on them eventually accepting it. She wasn’t out to hurt any of them she just wanted to help them. Hell she dated Joey for how many years then helped him cover things up. She loved him and always would, though she respected the fact that he was taken.

“Kel, thank you. I’ll have to think about it. Though I know Joey said yes already I still have to think about it. I mean I don’t ant you to regret it later.”

“Yeah,” JC said. “You plan on getting married and having kids with your husband don’t you?”

“Eventually yes but it depends I mean I haven’t found someone that I like and I don’t know if I will in California. But hey if I don’t I can always adopt. And I’d rather do that in the long run if I don’t find someone.”

“I think lance and I will take some time to think about it like Chris. I mean after all it takes a woman three years to heal after having a baby.”

“JC how did you know that?”

“I’ve done my reading on it.”

“So you’ve been thinking about it?”

“Yes.” Lance answered.

“Just take what I said in mind guys. Justin, Wade I know that Chantel said that she would be the other half for the two of you since she has the same blood as wade, but you’d have to find someone if you guys wanted one from wade. Hopefully science will find a way to fuse both sperm from two men together in the future, I mean hell wouldn’t you want to have a child that was half you and half your lover?”

“YES!” Came from around the table.

“Well guys, I have to go. I have a cab that’ll be here in five minutes and I gotta a plane to catch.”

Kelly left after getting hugs and kisses from all the guys and Brianna.

‘Hopefully,” she thought, “they’ll take up my offer. I don’t want them to get found out because some bitch blabs.’ Soon her thoughts were forgotten as she boarded her plane to L.A.
