The Natural Experience...
Lately I have noticed my hair is not representing me.... so I decide to grow out my relaxer and become all natural.
No this doesn't mean I will be getting a relaxer in a few months..it means NO MORE RELAXERS
Society
Society has imbedded in us that black "natural" hair is bad.. But there are so many people proving that theory wrong. The problem really is we never knew how to take care of our hair, so we went to chemicals and heat.. but I have learned so much in the past 2 yrs...
My Choice
In Aug I decided I wasn't going to go for my regular touch up and I would let my hair grow. But it wasn't until Oct that I really felt I could do it... You know "go natural". I have not had a touch up since then...
People
Oh boy what a change I am making. I have people (including family) that hate it. But what I can't understand is why do they hate something they won't have to worry about.. And also can you hate something you know nothing about. It's like saying, "I don't eat eggs because they are nasty", but you never had an egg in your life... How ridiculous...
