The
Sailor Scouts gathered at Rei’s temple, as usual. This time, though, the Outer Scouts
had decided to join them. Mina was telling them all about her encounter the
night before.
".
. . And then she did something to my mirror and I saw this girl and . . ."
"Mina,
could you identify her again if you saw her?" Ami asked.
"Why?"
"So
we can talk to her." Ami paused. "I wonder if she even knows she has
scout powers."
"I’m
sure she does. I’m sure the others do, too," Trina ramarked.
"Others?"
All eyes focused on the Outers, who proceeded to relate their story.
When
they finished, Ami said, "Well, that makes four more."
"Four
more what?" queried Serena.
"Serena,
you airhead!" remarked Rei as Ami replied, "Four more people we need
to track down. But we only have a lead for one person, this new Sailor
Venus."
"What
about Sailor . . . er, Senshi Annwn?" asked Lida.
"What
about her?" replied Mel coldly.
"Shouldn’t
we track her down? I mean, it seems to me that it’s more important to
talk to her right now than any of the others."
"No."
It was Mel who had spoken, a frown creasing her forehead. Cayley had moved to
stand behind her.
"No?"
"No.
She’s clearly an enemy. We need to destroy her," Mel said, slamming her
fist into her hand.
"No,
we don’t. She may be spooky, and she may have a different agenda, but she’s not
an enemy," Trina said quietly.
They
all looked at her.
"Besides,
she’s so powerful, she could destroy us all . . . very easily."
Trina
stood up. "Lida’s right. We have to talk to her." She began to leave.
"Trina,
wait! Where are you going?" Renie asked.
Trina paused. "To someone who knows."
