When the blue hour's here,
that cogent crack between this day and next,
this season and the one to follow, climb into the hollow,
part the mist, translate the fog,
where words are air.
Razored realism, colors sharp enough to scratch
an eyeball--meticulous detail with focus on the
richness and mysteriousness of life as seen
through the lens of an artist--this is my
description of the photographic folio of
retired physician, Nathan Kern.
It's the self-portrait that caught me for sure.
What a face. Click on his picture, then click on
'gallery' (in the gray area just above and to the
left of his image) to view 231 brilliantly caught
images, including my favorite, 'Blue Eyes'.
