Small Company Offering Registration (SCOR)
a quick and relatively inexpensive way to register stock for companies with assets under $3 million and less than 500 individual stockholders, which is available in 38 states
sole proprietorship
business structure in which one person owns and manages a company; advantages: simple to set up and the owner maintains complete control and keeps all the profits; disadvantages: the owner assumes liability for all debts incurred, and the personal assets of the owner are at risk in the event of bankruptcy
