My Little Ponies aka The Herd

1)Sharif

I've had Sharif the longest of my four horses. I bought him when I was in 8th grade. Since then we've come a long way, going from a green, antsy horse who bucked to anything faster than a walk to a calm, attentive and super affection little guy who will follow you (note: without a lead rope!) anywhere...He's the only one unregistered, but his wonderful personality more than makes up for it.

2) Wyoming-

Wyoming I bought almost three years ago from a summer camp that I worked at. She was nervous, defensive and had a sad, abusive history from a trainer before she, along with her two half brothers, was donated to the camp. Although she'd come a long way while at the camp, once she had a permanent home and some constant pasture mates (Sharif and my sister's arab mare, Leisha), she completed the recovery that made her the great horse that she is today. Instead of heading across the pasture, she now greets us at the gate, looking for attention. She likes western the best, but english is her "first language." She is very athletic and even at her small almost-pony height, she can carry a fairly heavy rider.

3) Stormy...-

I found myself the owner of Stormy and Red Cloud as result of a "two for one" offer; they came from the same camp as Wyoming, and due to a number of donated horses that the camp had recieved in the last year, they were offered to me at a price I couldn't turn down. Now that they're a part of the family, I'm happy to have them. Both ride english and western and climb over each other for attention. They need some training work yet, but they're smart and pick up things quickly. Red Cloud is the half brother of Wyoming and has only been ridden a half dozen times while Stormy has been ridden on and off for a few years.
