Stay tuned for an interesting Travel Saga of our December 2001-January 2002 trip to the USA through Europe and back to our current residence in South Africa. You won’t want to miss this one. There will be tales of woe as well as ones of joy plus a “heads-up” spell for “happy luggage”—one which I wish I would have used! There will also be hints (and commentary) on which airlines (and countries) to avoid at all costs!!!
Hint Number One: Some airports are terrible!!! (Note: very close relationship to that other word (terror) being bandied about these days.)
Hint Number Two: Don’t leave home without your “Ruby Red Slippers”. And MAKE SURE they are in your ‘carry-on’ luggage.
“The scientific theory I like best is that the rings of Saturn are composed entirely of lost airline luggage.”—Mark Russell
Later…Raven.
I don’t know who penned the next two sayings, but I like them and wanted to share them with you.
These things, I warmly wish for you-
Someone to love,
Some work to do,
A bit of o’ sun
A bit o’ cheer
And a Guardian Angel
Always near.
May joy and peace surround you,
Contentment latch your door,
And happiness be with you now
And bless you evermore.
Cheers,
Raven
