In December 2000 Marti & I were invited to
Widespread Panic's two-night New Year's run
in Atlanta. We spent a hectic four days
reuniting with tour buddies & our friends
in the band & the organization, meeting
new folks & rockin' out to great music
every night. Here are a few images from
our trip . . .

Our hosts in Atlanta were our pals
Karen & Deepesh, who were
absolutely wonderful to us!

We spent a lot of time hanging out with
Europe tour veterans, like Randy & Terri.

Our dear friend Laurie was in da house . . .

We went to Fat Matt's for ribs & blues with Robin & Pat.

It was great to see Europe tour buds
"Disco" Don & the inimitable Jonny Big Muff.

Marti & I went to The Party, where we encountered
Travelin' Tracy, then moved on to the Brandy House.

Col. Bruce Hampton & The Code Talkers were playing
a two-night stand. Jon & I went to the first gig
. . . on the second night we brought along Laurie,
Marti & Jon's pal Dave.

I had never seen Col. Bruce in concert. He was
a blast to watch onstage & very entertaining
to schmooze with in the dressing room.

One more party before the first Panic show:
the huge Panic Fans For Food benefit at Smith's!
