September's Meeting

Topic:  High Performance Work Teams plus

Table Talk topic(s)

Greg Redmond, General Manager of Audit at Chevron Corporation will lead the group through a self-realization process that identifies the elements of high performance work teams. Greg is a highly motivational, facilitative speaker who challenges his audiences to realize their full potential and perform at their very best. Greg’s approach to this topic is one of leading the group through their past experiences working in high energy work environments and compiling a list of "must have" elements to promote a high performance work team. This is not a presentation; it’s a facilitated open discussion where Greg will challenge us to recognize what it takes to achieve success, and to enjoy the power and energy of working as part of a high performance team.

Table Talk: Several topics will be identified for discussion in small work groups. Easels will be provided to capture learnings and issues, and groups will report out to the general membership at the conclusion of the meeting.

DIRECTIONS TO BASIC AMERICAN FOODS – WALNUT CREEK:

Address: 2999 Oak Road, Walnut Creek, CA 94596

Riding BART: Get off the train at the Pleasant Hill station. Immediately across the street from the station is the AirTouch building next to the Embassy Suites hotel. The Basic American Foods lunchroom is on the first floor of the building in the southwest corner. Walk from the BART station between the Embassy Suites and AirTouch buildings. When you get to the back of the AirTouch building turn right and you will see the plaza entrance to the lunchroom on your right.

Driving:

From 680 North take the Treat Blvd exit.
At the signal at the end of the off ramp (Treat Blvd) turn Right.
At the next signal light (Oak RD., 1 block from end of off ramp) turn Left
At the next signal light (immediately beneath the BART tracks) turn Left and go straight down into the garage.
When you get into the garage enter the parking gate to the right (left is Embassy Suites parking and straight ahead is a different office building) take a ticket and part anywhere that is not marked reserved.
Go to the garage elevator and take the elevator to the 2nd floor.
As you exit the elevator, leave the garage through the door to your left.
Walk across the plaza to the AirTouch building. The lunchroom entrance is double doors off the plaza to the right of the lobby entrance to the building.

From 680 South take the Treat Blvd exit:

At the signal at the end of the off ramp (N. Main St.) turn Left.
At the next signal light (Treat Blvd.) turn Left.
Cross over the freeway and at the second signal (Oak Rd.) turn Left.

Follow the directions above for entering the garage and finding the lunchroom.
