It's easier to struggle
than to surrender
and so it's easier
to be alone.
but just one last word
again I'll ask you
for more than I've deserved
and you'll give me
more than I've asked.
You make it too easy
to settle down
I don't want your comfort
I don't always want you around.
It's your way,
your generosity
that makes me look so bad
cause that's what others see.
The things you haven't had
because of the things you've given me.
That's why it's easier to struggle
than to surrender,
