"That goes through a sea, some mountains, a field, and a farmer might come out with a gun and shoot you."
My math professor on why you shouldn't make up your own routes.
This has been quite the comical day. Oh yes...Not English this morning though. That class is absolutely boring. We got into groups today. I was surprised when Gina invited me into her group. If you get Gina, you automatically get Dominic. These two...are inseperable. Both of them have extremely Italian names. But we were looking for parallel arguments between these two editorials on Embryotic Stem Cell Research...and Dominic kept looking at me everytime he said something...to see if I agreed or not. Like I was the smart one in the group. That class makes me feel too intelligent. They were pretty nice though. I guess I had already pegged them as stuck up. I need to get off that first impression kick.
~Can I make you understand, can I make you see? I am desperate for your love and it's breakin' me~
So I had an hour and a half break between English and UVC, so I went and chilled in the Reed Hall lobby. That's where I always go. (hahaha once or twice...does that make always?) Anyhow, I was half expecting Alexandria to be there cause she doesn't have a class at that time either. But I found out later that she ran home during her break. But instead of talking the whole time (like I would have) I started writing my paper that's not due until Friday. It's almost done. Practically wrote itself. Meanwhile, I stared out the window...when I was having trouble thinking of some good big words to put into my paper...there was this guy sitting on the picnic table...with a binder or something on his lap...and drum sticks...headphones on...just drumming away. I think that is just the coolest thing. People just sitting around...doing what they love to do. anyhow...there was a point...OH! I was looking out the window...and who do I see? Ben! Now...the glass on the outside is tinted. So you can see out, but not in. So I saw him...but he didn't see me. He walked in the building, and just kept going...maybe I should have gotten my lazy rear end up...but I didn't.
~You are stellar~
So I went to UVC where I caught up with Laura and Alexandria. That class wasn't so exciting. Basically, they're trying to promote student on campus activities. They tell you all about what's going on. When and where you can go to things. They also tell you when deadlines for things are. It's altogether...dull. I have to go get ready and work out...so I'll finish this later. By then...my train of thought will have diminished. So no one will understand what I'm talking about.
~Lack of understanding, lack of communication, lack of a desire for an expanding education~
So yes...onward. After UVC, Laura and I walked over to Reed together...Alexandria had to ask Kaufman something. I met up with Rachel in the lobby. And told her about seeing Ben. I was loud and obnoxious the whole time. There were two other girls there...then Alexandria showed up. And we all just talked and laughed about lots of stuff. I told Rachel about Dan's radio show. And how he was The Bomb on Saturday. And you know what she said..."I still think you two belong together". It was just...too much. Cause Dan and I are really cool now. He's been sending me awesome stuff through IM. And he's just really great. There's no room for messing that up again. Anyhow, this guy comes in with a pizza box...and offers us all pizza. He was really nice. It was thoughtful. Then he left...and another guy came in and sat down. The three of us were mighty loud. So he just joined in the conversation. He was funny. He kept cracking jokes...I tried to explain how much of a dork I am. We were talking about how it was getting cold really quick...and I said, "ya...I fear the snow...with snow comes ice...and me planted on my rear end. I'm not foot eye coordinated." And he's like, "I would cry." and then I said, "no no...I'm so used to it. I'm the clumsiest person ever." So ya...then I was trying to explain my Ben sighting to Alexandria, and he chimed in with, "Why don't you talk to him?" and I was like, "I'd feel super stupid" and he's like, "That could be the guy you're going to marry. And you're worried about feeling stupid???" Which is definitely a good point.
~On behalf of the forgotten~
Math...is so funny. I don't know anyone. So I pay attention. I just noticed that my professor resembles Yoda. It's a trip. Cause he phrases his sentences like him too. (sometimes) It's just a riot. Anyhow...I came home...and I WAS going to watch another Keanu movie...but other things came up. Nicole and I went to the gym. Then decided to walk around the resevoir. Once we got there...we changed our minds and went out to dinner. I just got back from the Packard. Nicole and I planned my whole birthday party. She's throwing me a huge bash. ON my birthday. October 21st, it's a Saturday. We're hoping to get a couple of bands to play. But we haven't straightened out the electricity thing. Ok...the idea is...party starts at 7pm. It's a birthday/costume party...(Halloween twist) So costumes are a must. At 7:30, we're awarding the prize for best costume, and taking a caraven to Camp Robin Rogers haunted woods. We won't be back until approximately 9:30 Which is when phase 2 of the party starts. Those who didn't want to go to the woods show up, and the bands play. We're gonna have a bon fire...and it's going to be FLY! I'm so excited. And everyone is invited...but you have to have a costume. We're really stressing that aspect. Cause it's fun to dress up...and we're "too old"...so this is an excellent excuse. ROCK ON! AHHHH today has been to fun and hyper. I can't wait...
I'm adding a page on...called "WANT ADS" so if there's something you want, send me a request. I'll type it up...all fancy, and post it under the want ads. E-mail me at the address at the bottom of the screen. Thank You.
