~Until the sun rises up~

Ok, since that last problem...the weird guy on ICQ...I've had time to collect things. So now I'll move onto my first couple of days of classes this quarter. I'm NOT turning ICQ on.

WINTER QUARTER 2001 starting Jan 2

So on Tuesday, I had my early class. It starts at 8am. So I got up at about 6. Tuesdays and Thursdays are my longer days. Anyhow, I get there (met Lisa in the administration building) we had no idea what rooms our classes were in. They don't post that until the last minute. So we had history (yes, I have that class with Lisa.) and we sat up front. Funny thing, the guy that I thought was really hot in UVC last quarter is in that class. Another funny thing about that guy...he has a VERY high pitched voice. When we went to get books, we ran into Ben at the store...and I turn around for two seconds and hear someone talking to Mr. Charm...I thought at first that it was a girl and I turn back around...it was that guy. I wish I knew what his name is. So I didn't have to call him "that guy". But we'll call him Mr.A (A= anonymous) Moving on, So this history class...is pretty involved. We have to do a lot of reading. Then after history...I have this tedious 2 and a half hour break. Nothing to do...so of course I sat in Reed Hall the whole time. Lisa was there part of the time, but she has math at like 11:30 so I'm stuck by myself until 12:30 when we have choir. I didn't really mind it. I pulled out my book (Left Behind...how ironic is that?) and started reading. Not to long after I started reading, Posse members slowly began to come into the lobby. Brad and Chris and Sherrick...they came in, (with Nala...that girl...I don't know why, but I find her extremely annoying) and I pretty much ignored them. They all greeted Big D (who was supposed to go to Columbus this quarter but didn't) eventually, Brad came over and sat down next to me. I'm reading...and he says, "what's up?" So I look up at him, and say, "hey." Then I contemplate whether or not I should bring up his neglect to show up at any and everything we've invited him to. Then I said, "so how come you didn't meet us at Hunan?" and he's like, "didn't have any money." And then I said, "hmm, another excellent excuse...sounds like the license plate thing on New Years." And he's like, "no really. My rear plate was stolen, and I had to pay $5 to replace it. My parents wouldn't let me drive it without the plate." Ya, so I just stopped talking then. I didn't want to argue about it. So conversation dwindled. We went to choir. I missed choir. More than I'd like to admit. It was nice for a change. Lisa introduced me to Eeisa. (kinda like Lisa only without the L.) She's in my poetry class. I honestly didn't think I'd know anyone...well, since it IS the branch. Not only did I know people, I went to high school with them. There's 2 guys and a girl who are actually seniors this year. Post secondary I assume. Plus guess who else is in this class? Mr. A! Go figure. There's also this extremely hot guy...He's just...like the ultimate...long and slender. With dark blonde hair. His name is Doug. That was my last class that day.

~You love the way I look at you, while taking pleasure in the awful things you put me through.~

WINTER QUARTER 2001 Jan 3

Class started a little later that day. I got up at 8am. Cause I had theatre at 10. I knew Chris was in that class with me. And he said something about Nala being in it too on Tuesday. So I wasn't really looking forward to it. I go in...it's in the auditorium. So I go in...find Brad and Laura. It seems like Laura and I always end up in each others theatre classes. Anyhow, chatted with Brad a bit. Nala walked in. And so did quite a few people who I've talked to in the lobby. Oh boy. Now this class...I'm excited about. It's a chance to get to know these people better. I've been interested in finding out about a few of them. Including Nala. I want to understand why I catch her looking at me with the nastiest face. I want to figure out what her deal with Chris is. I want to have a real conversation with Brad...just to see why he's avoided all of his invites. And I want to get to know Chris again. I hate the fact that we barely speak to each other anymore. Plus, we're all in choir together...and it seems as though that will be where we find common ground. Ok, after theatre, I had an hour long break. I sat my keister down in the lobby. Oh boy. Brad and Chris sat down...but Nala took off for another class. There were a few others sitting in there. This guy Derek...he's a bit strange. and Nala's friend Kasey. Sherrick came in with 3 chicks. (Brad called him a pimp) Two of the three went to "the Ria" (the cafeteria) the other...a blonde girl placed herself right in front of the guys. (They were sitting on the seperatable couch, she was in front of them on the floor. I didn't really pay much attention...I do remember Chris and Brad talking about some girl that they both like. Then they all got up and went to the ria. So I chatted a bit with Kacey and Derek. A little bit later, the 3 girls came back in and sat down on the couch where the guys had been sitting. Then a little after that, Brad came back in. Walked right past the girls and went to sit in the chair next to me. (causing me to move my coat) The blonde girl says, "you can sit over here Brad, we'll move over" and he's like, "no. I'm still within ear shot." That kinda made me laugh. We didn't really talk to each other. I looked over once, and he was looking at me. (prolly staring into space) and I'm like, "WHAT!" but he didn't say anything. I asked him why he came out here. He said he didn't have any money to eat. And so I said, "so. All your friends are down there." And he's like, "ya, eating. And the smell just made me hungry." That was the extent of our conversation. I should have inquired about the girl that both Chris and Brad have a thing for...but I'm not gonna be nosy.

~You love the things I say I'll do, the way I hurt myself again just to get back at you.~

WINTER QUARTER 2001 Thursday Jan 4

Again, my long day. I went to history and found that Lisa wasn't there. We ended up in groups writing an essay about what we'd read. So I joined up with Missy, and a guy who sat behind me...then Prof Meyer stuck us with three other guys from the other side of the room. It was...awful. No one really helped Missy and I. At first, no one said anything...So I was kind of forced into the "leader" position. I wrote the whole intro/thesis paragraph. I worded almost the whole paper. It was kind of ridiculous. And one of the 3 guys kept looking at me...and grinning. He was all...thuggish. And I wanted to say something like, "dude, really. we're supposed to be writing...not flirting." But I'm sure if I had been in a group with Mr. A, I would have done the same. So I go out into the lobby. Find Chris, and Derek...a few others. Ran over to the book store to pick up the theatre book I didn't know I needed. Then went back to the lobby. And sat there. Lisa showed up. But had to go to her math class. So I talked a bit with Derek and Jennifer (she's in choir and theatre with me) Went to choir. Brad skipped out that day. I thought about inviting him and Chris (and Lisa of course) to the Strive For Conviction show on Saturday. But I figured no one would show up. Brad wasn't there anyway...so whatever. I thought they might appreciate something like that...cause they play guitar...and they're thinking about starting a band. (that's what Brad said on the phone the one time I talked to him) Anyhow, choir was...choir, and poetry was...different. I sat up front. (cause that class is so full. NO seats are left empty.) Eeisa and I couldn't sit next to each other. I sat right in front of prof Arbuckle. Hey, I didn't tell that story. She's...in a chair. Like a wheelchair but more high-tech. She's...I don't really know what it is. She's a little person. Small, and she obviously can't walk. She's kinda got like something with her limbs cause she can't really use her hands very well. I don't know. She has students write on the board. She's comfortable with it though...she can do pretty much everything. She just can't reach the board...And I don't think she could lift her arm high enough to write even if she could reach the board. It's a complicated thing. But she's REALLY funny. And knows an awful lot about pop culture even though I'd assume she's in her mid-fifties...(unless premature aging goes along with this thing she has) It's a cool class. And poetry...is WAY more technical than I thought it was. I've always written free verse. So all this iambic, trochaic, pentameter...hexameter stuff is a bit confusing. But I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. It's Friday now...and I dont have class on Friday. That's definitely nice. But I do have to work tonight. Which reminds me...I should be getting ready right now.

~I wanna run away never say good-bye. I wanna know the truth instead of wondering why.~
